Everyone except for Courage, lol.

DoFP is my favorite score of 2014, but this is a close second.

Why thank you! This was also one of my favorites of 2014. Almost everyone else I talked to hated it.

Thank you very much. I've been listening to it. So much of the final score is synth that you won't be able to tell the difference on a lot of tracks. Some are more obvious, though. Still, ten times better than that stupid OST.

Very cool. First ASM2 (kinda) and now this. It'll be nice to hear the full score, more or less. Since it's an RCP score, the demoes are probably fairly close to how the film mix sounds, anyways.

Some composers, before properly work on "real" music, prefer make some demo music with synthesizers, as a sort of preview (or pre-production) for both the director of the movie and the composer, so that, in case, music can be changed.
Thus, this is not the proper score of the movie, but the demo of most of the complete score. Close enough, since most of the music is synth :)

* And yes, the problem with the mp3 is the silence inside each track like Dave999 said, with the lossless version this is not problem. Nervous to reach it one day to make an edit deleting all voids without losing quality.

Yeah, I noticed that. Kinda bummed, to be honest. If it was lossless I'd just edit it out, but since I'm on a Mac I don't have the mp3 editing software that doesn't transcode. If anyone could edit out the silence (which I'm assuming adds up to several minutes) and would upload it, I'd appreciate it.

Genuinely curious -- how come this thread didn't "blow up" (say, the way DAK's TASM 2 cues did)? To me this must be one of the best shares of the year, and I was lucky to even notice it when Hackerman put it up.

I thought a lot of people enjoyed Jackman's score for Winter Soldier?

I think it's almost the opposite. Even though this score has many fans, what I've seen is that most people are either disappointed, perplexed or downright enraged about Jackman's approach after Silvestri's take on the first film.

I totally disagree. Silvestri's music was spot on for the first film but would have sounded old fashioned for how the Russo brothers approached Cap and the modern times in which he finds himself. A discordant, electronic score matched the tone of the film, the theme of fear vs. freedom and the Winter Soldier himself. I might have been inclined to agree with you if the only version of the score was the commercially available one. That release was awful. These demos are much closer to what we hear on the film's soundtrack and hearing it now makes me appreciate Jackman's work all the more.

For me, this was the score that got me into Jackman. The guy makes great villain themes -- just look at Winter Soldier and Magneto (or rather, listen.)

But then, I've never been a big fan of Silvestri's music, so maybe that's why I don't mind this being different from TFA.

Probably because it's just the demos. While the eletrical parts do sound a lot like they do in the final score, the orchestral pieces really don't.

Nice to have this for reference, but except for the Winter Soldier score pieces I wouldn't really like listening this too much. :/
