So, I remebered when I first played Final Fantasy X, I remebr thinking "well, its not been very challenging up to now, has it?", and when I got to Mount Gagazet I started browsing GameFaq's for some walkthroughs, and in every single one, Seymour Flux was mentioned as one of, if not the hardest boss in the game! At this point, I was starting to worry, but anyways, I got everyones overdrives up, wondered around the mountain to make sure that I had everything I needed, and went on to fight him, with a boss walkthrough I printed off 3/4 of a page long! Using hastega from Tidus, and protect with Yuna, and then Silence Attack with Wakka, Seymour was pretty useless. I then attacked him until the auto-attack message came up when it was ready for Total Annihilation, and killed him before he even got the chance!
I thought it was luck, at first, but I have played it three times since, and he has been just as easy, hence I came to the honest decision that Seymour Flux is overrated and unchallenging.

So, did anyone else find that Seymour wasn't that hard, or did you guys have trouble with him?

He was my hardest one, seeing as his attacks could be particularly evil. But, I eventually kicked his ass with my Aeons ^^

Hard battle and you need Hastega.

I'm only stuck on him because I skipped leveling up to this point.

I found him hard on my first go through the game. Second time he was pants.
My m8 was using the newb sphere grid and had to give up and start over at this point cos it didn't provide enough power! =)

found him knida easy really......no FAQ's or stuff just by my self on my first go and beat him........within like 30-35 mins....:)

Flux was extremely easy for me.I just had all of my chracters,including Aeons to use their Overdrives and Flux only got like 3 total turns.It was easy but I only have fought him once.

He was my hardest, too. Couldn't beat him for 3 weeks.

Yunalesca's harder. I don't understand people when they say Seymour Flux is.

I died thrice when I fought Yunalesca. I died nill when I fought Flux, hence I agree with you there.

I thought seymour was pretty easy cuz i trained for a while. but i can't beat yunalesca because i put everybody's spheres in the wrong spots...like tidus knows like Use, steal, and weird things that rikku knows.and wakka knows aome of aurons moves lol. so everything is pretty hard for me

Yunalesca is pretty damn easy after a while though!
As long as you keep everyone in Zombie.
Version 1 and 2 is piss easy. You can win her by just attacking, and My Auron was doing about 6000 after armour break so he was pretty strong.
Version 3, as mentioned, just keep Zombie up. Use Overdrives from Aeons and Charas.

ohh..so you're supposed to stay in zombie form? ok. well i'll get back to FFX after i beat kingdom hearts for the first time.

Yeah, if you stay in Zombie, Mega-Death will not harm any of your characters.

When my brother tried it, he died (and at the time we didn't ahve a memory card, i was so mad at him) and then we got there again, and i tried, and I beat him first try! it did take like all of my items, but i was successful first time!

if you prepare properly and build your characters up they are both easy.if you dont Flux will wipe the floor with you.Cross-Cleave is devasting(2000-2500)to all chars.he's usally dead b4 he uses Total Annaihalation on me.Auron is the only one who survives it though.4500 at least

BS, I wasted Yunalesca on my first try. I was stuck on Flux for three days. I didn't even use Bahamut's Mega-Flare on her, which I NEEDED for Flux. She also can't do as much damage as Flux in one turn, and Mega Death is easily avoidable, unlike Total Annihilation, which is sometimes a garaunteed one hit kill.

Also, I only saw TA once, and Yuna survived it, lucky me ^_^''. I had this little plan made up where Rikku would use a Stamina Tablet on Auron at the start of the fight, giving him just under 8000 HP. Then I'd keep him at max HP until TA, then he'd heal everyone and then I'd just keep hurting him and keeping Auron at max. Turns out I didn't need to do that, and only needed Mega Flare ^_^''.

Well for me she's harder since she has three forms and a total of 132,000 HP. I completed creamed Seymour Flux on my very first try. The only time I've actually died in this game was due to Yunalesca's Mega Death, since I had no idea she had that attack.

It all depends on how you go about the battle, I think...And how strong you are at that point. Lucky for me, Tidus and Auron where both doing considerable amounts of damage on both enemies, I found that I could steadily win the battle by just attacking and healing with Yuna. But, I mean, with Yunalesca, I died three times initially, and then you just get the "plan". Just keep everyone in Zombie, becuase when someone dies, ovbviously, and you revive them, they are not in Zombie anymore, thus Mega Death will own you and you'll be all "Shit! That bitch!".
But both battles are greatly assisted if you build up everyones Overdrive.

I didn't even have haste never mind Hastaga at this point and still managed to slay him!
