I haven't even so much as thought about it, but I like the ending.I am finding that his death is pretty impressive and tragic.I can't think of one villain in the ff series who later becomes good and dies tragically at the end after the final boss ending.golbez was never the true villain and he doesn't die.he does seek redemption but he doesn't die.Kefka was always evil as was cloud of darkness and palomecia and ultimecia.

The ending kind of reminds me of how sad it was when Jowy died in suikoden 2, and made us all cry because it was so sad.

I will have to replay ff9 Some day.

I know. I couldn't believe it when Kylo Ren removed the mask, revealing himself to be Zidane's long-lost son. I mean, what a twist! Sure, he shish kabob'd Zidane with all present and accounted for except the campfire, but really...who was going to miss a creeper who kidnaps princesses for a living? I mean, really. Probably the most touching part was when Chewbacca cooked up the party feast with the ewoks, and Princess Leia realised she was better off alone as she ate. And Steiner...what a gentlemanly sort. He then went ahead and married Queen Brahne, as C3PO and R2D2 provided the entertainment. Nothing's more satisfying than getting to watch Kuja have to return all that money he extorted from so many innocent people. What a scoundrel, that one. Meh, maybe the cartels will take him back somebody. But most likely he'll never be able to escape Jabba's pit, getting chased around by that Adamantoise all day long. Truly a 10/10 experience from finish to start.
