its pretty good, proportion looks OK. You should try putting more detail into it and make more solid lines with the pencil.

I totally agree and a bit more colour maybe. The sellotape marks really bring it down. :laugh:

yeh the pic was falling apart so i had to do something and i don't do colour it spoils my pics beisdes i'm no good at it :) and i will try to add a little more detail and make more solid lines :) thanks for the tips......anymore comments :) plus this was the first FF based drawing i ever did this was done in april last year so thats why its a little ripped and stuff..........

it's really good her head is alittle smushed in the front but it's good

Her face is REALLY smushed and her hair could use more detail....all in all tho i think its a pretty good pic...i like it

That is the first time I have ever seen 5 posts in row.

The face is pretty far off and I can't really tell what is going on with the body. Consideriblly better than what I can do though.

well yeh i've got one or two pics one of Quezacotl (soz bout spelling) the other of Ifrit i'll try get some other pics drawn soon those one's (Quezacotl and Ifrit) may come on Saturday but not sure....so don't worry Detonate you'll see some :)

The Boko one is pretty good, thats better than my pics :/.I started to draw when I was about your age, but I don't do it usually. Keep that up, the tendence is to always get better.

I think they're both really good, i'm not an artist myself so I can't give you advice, but i think for a 12 year old you're doing great :-D

I think you guys are being too nice. I think it's atrocious compared to the level of drawings I've seen on forums. That's just me, don't take it personal. You just barely managed an outline, which is decent. Besides that there is nothing else that is appealing. There are eraser marks everywhere, sloppy line executions, horrible proportional execution, and less to no shading (not that shading is required, just when you start apply it to the whole drawing). It looks like a 6 year old drew it. My advice is practice, practice. Start with tracing, train your eye, and hand. Practice pencil technique (shading, sketching, defining etc.), you have potential, and you should further develop that potential. I just wouldn't praise works like the ones you just posted.

Im not saying there excellent but they r very good still 4 a 12 year old. Id have trouble drawing Boko that good until i practised 4 ages.

thanks guys and Relestial.....thanks for the comments i'll try and do better but what you said about being atrocisous compared to other art that's kinda hurtful...(although you said don't take it personal)...but it is kinda true other people are better than me at art.....the rubbing out and stuff was just because :

1) it was the first decent drawing i ever did (so it took me a while so that meant rubbing out drawing again and making the lines bolder)
2)It is a difficult picture to draw since in the FF booklet it's so small i tried to bring it up to size and that was difficult......

anyway at least others think it's still good :) I'll try and keep up with the pics post more soon :)

oh yeh the Quezacotl pic i did that in school during my lunch break :) it took bout 45 mins to draw maybe less...the funny thing was a girl said to me "wow that's really good, you gonna take art for GCSE??" i didn't reply (kinda rude but anyway) i thought i'm in Year 7....i en't thinkin bout it now....i'm in year 8 now just so you know.............

She might look a little older than what she's ment to be but that doesn't matter (i'll admit her nose is a bit dodgy.....) once again there's not alot of detail but then again most of my drawings don't contain much anyway......

Do u sketch your outlines before u draw them, or do u go for the more solid stroke? I think you should sketch its very easy to fix sketches before u go for a final product, but if I can scan some pics i have drawn will u let me post them here?

hey your drawings are pretty good i wanna give you a tip on the lips im not that good at them but what i noticed is that your lips in the drawings are kind plain.
what you should do is in the middle of the top lip it tends to swoop down a bit and go's back up ill posta pic of what i mean.



these were quick so there not that great at all but i just wanted to ge the point across.
