I just wanted to know what you guys think. I personally think it would make a good sports game and would be something dirrerent and a little more fun from all the maddens and fifa soccers and such.

I think Blitzball would be a brilliant game on its own. At the same time they'd have to put a bit more into it than there was in FFX. But in answer to your question, HELL YEAH I love Blitz.

No. It's the same as suggesting Triple Triad for being a game on its own. There's no point, as in the end, if it had a storyline, it'd turn out like another final fantasy.

Sorry i have to agree with chopper , on its own its bound to be a terrible game ( did you realize how easy it was in ff10? just scoring hiding behind your goal thing). It just got too repetetive .

Hell, I think if they made Blitzball more in depth, then it might make a good game, it's too simple otherwise...maybe make a little more arcadey, that would be awesome.

its not exactly impossible to make it real. *I sound kinda nerdy here* but one time, me and my freinds played blitzball....but instead of attacking *because we weren't fully underwater* we made p some gay challenge, and who ever won got the ball.....we sorta changed the rules a little too......but we still kinda played it!

Since I don't like sorts genre video games, I'd have to say no. But as a real sport, I think that would be awesome. It WOULD be impossible though because in the game they mysteriously find a way to stay underwater for all that time and never have to breath. Unless, they made some sort of breathable water like in the abyss, but I don't think that would happen.
Oh, by the way, blitzball is basically already a video game in itself on both Final Fantasy X and X-2. Personally, I like the one in X better. One more thing Trekkie, consider wording your first post better before you start getting pissed at everybody. Just because yoou're thinking it, doesn't mean other people will. =)

It would be great if they got some decent developer to make a decent game out of it. Like Extraction said up and down mobility and a whole manager/ match thing. Give it a more serios feeling, more professional like =)

in actual real life they made blitzball in japan with 8 a side they had a real big glass swimming pool and all the players got diving gear the match took 4 hours to end with only one goal because the ball or the players couldnt move very fast.

But it would be just like soccer. All the soccers games are semi-succesful. Plus the sexy halftime shows would be a great additon, with close ups to their panties and stuff
