COLLECTION UPDATE

All Game-rips now have WAV conversion alternatives for download via MediaFire. All original XMA file download links are from the source, so please inform me if they go down and I will update them with a personal reupload.

And after discovering that I mistakenly spelt "Judgment" as "Judgement", especially in the tagging data, I've re-uploaded the Gears of War: Judgment soundtrack albums with the corrected data.

I have also put in a request to have the topic's title corrected to "Gears of War: The CD Lossless Collection (with Game Rips) [WAV, FLAC & OGG]", as including "MP3 320" when I am not providing that format by default is of course incorrect & misleading. [TINY] COLLECTION UPDATE

Whilst preparing a small YouTube package of some of the Gears of War In-Game Music (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_TeHifS-jU) (You don't even hear some of these files in the game itself!), I created a loop of "Mexican01" (Anyone whom knows the quote "Baird, turn that **** off" will know the music) for it. Interestingly, the instantaenous third-party content match wasn't any of the game's music itself, but "Mexican01" instead. So now identified as "Amapolas" by Bamagu (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Amapolas/dp/B009HLABS4), I've created a separate download link under "Gears of War In-Game Music [Xbox 360]" where the files were sourced with the loop material and all the tags/metadata from the official release.

Everyone seems to want that (And who wouldn't?). I've been meaning to check into audio extraction for Gears of War on PC, but with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition's Windows 10 release inbound sometime soon, I'm much more keen to see if it's audio is as presumably not-too difficult to extract from (Which I know for a fact contains everyone's favourite headshot SFX).

Otherwise, audio data from the console titles is completely out of my league!

It just so happens I've been looking into getting the in-game audio from the Gears of War games myself. I've so far been fully successful with Gears of War [PC] and 99.9% successful with Gears of War 2 [Xbox 360] (umodel.exe was producing an error for a single DEU language VO file, which I believe it's Deutsche/German, so only a minor loss for the few that may prefer a German dub), but Gears of War 3 [Xbox 360] currently is racking my brain why ToWAV.exe can't convert the XMA files for it.

I'd like to think it's possible. It's an Unreal Engine game (UE4 in this case) using Wwise like numerous games such as Battleborn, Borderlands 2 & The Pre-Sequel and Killing Floor 2 to name a small number, with many other games on different game engines using Wwise such as new-Doom.
But until the day comes I upgrade to Windows 10 (Which I'd currently prefer not to until it becomes unavoidable such as when Windows 7 goes obsolete in 2020) and I can be certain people are able to extract assets from the PC version (There was success with new-Killer Instinct for it's music & character models, but Windows Store games have some odd malarkey going on if I'm hearing right), I ain't got a chance. Right now, I'm eagerly awaiting the CD release now pushed back to January 27th 2017, which I'd be keen to rip (Perhaps the least recognisable soundtrack of the franchise, but "Finale" (Which I don't recall hearing in-game on my two playthroughs) just hits me right in the feelings (Especially when I pitch it up just under a semitone).

I was at one point attempting to grab the Gears of War 3 In-Game Music, but there were some problems it doesn't share with it's predecessors that I didn't manage to solve at the time. Something I'd like to look into again when it's more convenient to do so. But I make no promises, as it's rare I can keep 'em. What I can promise is I want me that Gears of War 4 The Soundtrack CD, and should it release as planned, I'll be ripping it & adding it to the topic.

Gears of War 4 The Soundtrack {SE-3201-2} has finally been added to the collection with native WAV rip format and Flac & M4A (Apple Lossless Audio Codec/ALAC) formats. Existing CD Lossless have been replaced with updated reuploads with improved tags/metadata, along with M4A (Apple Lossless Audio Codec) format options. It is a game built on Unreal Engine 4 that I recall mention of it using the Wwise middleware for audio (Which isn't typically difficult to extract audio itself from, but if any common technique to do so with the file-names and/or folder structure intact even exists, then has long eluded me). However, even model-porters have had little to no joy getting anything from the game due to it being a Windows Store game and heavily encrypted. Otherwise, I haven't seen any joy for people looking to extract audio data from the Xbox One akin to the PlayStation 4 somewhat recently. So at least at present, I don't believe there even is a way to extract audio from Gears of War 4, let-alone in a method that makes using it to prepare a "Complete Score" a feasible task.

I heard of this place on hcs64.com forums while searching for a way to rip the french speech from Gear of War (2006) from the xbox 360 version. Gildor's Umodel.exe fails to extract the .XXX files. From what I read on various topics, it seems I'm not the only one who encountered this difficulty.
I've been told Alpha23 did the music rip uploaded @ x360.joshw.info . I also read that he had some personal issues and last posted in august 2018, so maybe he won't be able to answer.
I wonder if a fix has been found ?

I have added the "Gears of War 2: The Rejected Score by Kevin Riepl" to the collection, as still provided by Joshua Fireseed (Thread 131033), but accompanied with my "Edited" versions with edited tags & attempts to amplify dB levels back below 0 when possible. Unfortunately, I cannot find the original source for this music (Not even via the Web Archive from when Kevin Riepl used to provide the music for listening via his website), so I've decided to provide a back-up link as well as the original source for this topic. They are MP3 files and an outlier from the topic's title & format disclosures, but there's only so much character space afforded there & it does feel a necessary inclusion considering how difficult it appears to be find.

And following recent news that Sumthing Else Music Works/Distribution has gone Defunct and digital availability of their music, including for the Gears of War series is starting to cease, I have also removed the storefront recommendations since it now appears that opportunities to support the official release are disappearing. Thankfully, all music for the series thus far was released via CD, so physical copies still remain an option. I have also seen this occur for Halo & Borderlands series music they've handled, so it can be assumed this is occurring across their entire release catalogue (Which whilst saw a large number of physical releases, some such as the Campaign Add-On music for Borderlands 2 went digital-only, so there could be potential loss of availability of their music entirely, at least for the time being).

I wish I could do the same for Gears of War 3 & Judgment, but I ran into complications for Gears of War 3 and do not have the means to attempt Judgment, nor do I believe anybody has had any luck with Gears of War: Ultimate Edition & Gears of War 4 due to their present platforms unfortunately.

You have typos in the Judgment soundtrack file/track names:

I crossed referenced the digital releases for the track-names, including the Sumthing Else Music Works (https://web.archive.org/web/20160327031131/https://www.sumthing.com/p/gears-of-war-judgment/) store page, as it appears VGMDB (https://vgmdb.net/album/37876) did, and I deemed the CD rear's more inconsistent use of lower-case letters as being in error.
Just to name a couple of examples of times I've disagreed with the CD print, Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation has a track-name which can be verified as unintentionally incorrect spelling, along with the Borderlands & Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel CD soundtracks listing tracks as "Bonus" that are both very much used in-game & not deemed "Bonus" in the digital releases, rendering the "Bonus" label completely bogus.

However, I am not opposed to providing a correct-to-the-CD-tracklist rip as an option. I did the same for my Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation CD-rip and was considering it for Borderlands & Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in the event I carried a rip for them out, despite believing the latter to be nothing more than Pitchford-grade nonsense.

To my knowledge; non-existent. Not even Gears of War 4 has one as far I'm aware. All I know about the two games, unlike the original trilogy, is that they make use of the Wwise middleware for audio, which can be easily presumed to be what's proven the obstacle in doing so (Assuming these two games garnered that kind of interest). Getting the music itself isn't usually the challenge, but the typical lack of file-names makes it difficult to ensure you've extracted what you're looking for, especially if you have music data separated into various layers & small pieces like that for nu-Killer Instinct, nu-DOOM or Borderlands 3.

Otherwise, unless you already have your hands on the official soundtrack, Qobuz & 7digital have 24bit Lossless releases available (Qobuz has multi-format choices akin to Bandcamp, but is region-limited to select European countries and the United States, meanwhile 7digital only gives you one format/quality option for your purchase), and Myrkul (Thread 235769) has MP3 VBR & 16bit FLAC versions available (Sourced from Deezer I believe).
I am considering providing the 24bit version in the future, but with it's present availability and my evermore pressing need to move onto bigger storage & a new operating system (Perhaps a new PC entirely), it's not currently a priority for me.

Still, if you ever got around to it, you would have my undying gratitude ;) Hell, I'd even pay for it.
