Simple. What do you do for a living? Where do you work? Where have you worked? Best job you've ever had?

Right now I'm a school photographer working for Lifetouch. Had the job since August 2014. Season ends very soon (we're in retakes right now) and then after that I start an after-school program working with kids at the Jewish Community Center. One of my photographer co-workers pretty much got me the job, she's a secretary there.

Yes, But Techincally Zoso Asked Me To, In Order To Free Him.

From The Script.

Zoso: What a poor bargain that would be – to lay down your soul to save your b*st*rd son. So, I ask you – what would you have me do?

Rumpelstiltskin: Die.

(Rumpelstiltskin stabs the Dark One with the dagger. They fall to the ground and the Dark One’s face morphs into the face of the beggar. He laughs.)

Rumpelstiltskin: It’s you. You’re the beggar.

Zoso: Looks like you made a deal you didn’t understand. I don’t think you’re going to do that again.

Rumpelstiltskin: You told me to kill you.

Zoso: My life was such a burden. You’ll see. Magic always comes with a price and now, it’s yours to pay.

Rumpelstiltskin: Why me? Why me?
Zoso: I know how to recognize a desperate soul.

I actually got my first job only a few months ago (I'm 17) at my local grocery store. I bag people's groceries at the checkout lines. I'm sure it sounds mundane as hell to you all, but I love it. I don't even care about the pay, I just like the job.

If I had a choice between dragging my ass to school every morning or working full-time there, I think I'd choose the latter.

Jesus, I could've sworn you're older than 17. I really gotta say - you, Jason and Sulley (though I know how old they are I won't say) appear wise beyond your years. I was not as smart as you guys are when I was 17. Damn.

I started exactly where you are right now. My first job was the local grocery store (I was younger than 17 though, and we'll just say that due to my youthful looks all I ever heard from the customers was that I was "too young to be working" and they'd call CSS) bagging groceries. Then I trained to be a cashier and became one of the best and fastest. After that I learned how to do price changes, which is a whole lot harder than it sounds. It's a big responsibility. After price changes I went into the office, AKA customer service. I hated it, didn't like being cooped up in there all day. I wanted to be out on the floor. So I lasted a few weeks before my front-end manager trained me to be a front-end manager, AKA the supervisor of all the cashiers and what goes on up front. That's where I excelled. Did that for a while (while also still being a cashier and on price change crew) and then moved to general merchandise. At times I did just one thing for a while, at times I did them all, sometimes multiple in one day.

After 9 years enough was enough and I found my escape. I don't miss it. Since I moved last summer, I'm now even closer to the store. Whenever I need something, I avoid it like the plague and go to the other locations which are out of the way. Just being in there, seeing people (like 1 manager in particular) I never liked, it brings back memories I wish could be wiped. But my 2 best girl friends I met there and wouldn't know them if I never worked there. So it does mean something to me.

Here's me and my boss 1 year on Halloween:

And then 1 of my 2 girls ;)

But those are old. Far away, long ago :p

Don't laugh it off and definitely don't rule it out. It could happen. When I started, it was just to earn money so I could finally buy things, which eventually lead to getting a car and a cell phone and being responsible. I didn't have things handed to me from mommy and daddy like everyone else in the stuck-up town I live in. I was raised to be independant. Anyways, I really did earn a reputation there. I was great with customers (I had my regulars who would only come to my register, I miss them all so much), I knew what I was doing, I never called in sick, I was responsible, (probably something to do with how I was raised :p) and most important of all, I took it seriously. I take every job seriously. I see some people do the stupidest things and I just think to myself "How could you do that? Morally, ethically, and just in general, how could you do that?"

As I said on the first page, I am 15 years old (will be 16 July 15th) and I enjoy a variety of music. Such as video game music, a decent amount of film music (POTC, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc) and classical music (Bach, Mozart, Chopin).
The only anime and anime music I really like is Neon Genesis Evangelion (excellent music, I also love the vintage sound of it).
Are these tastes unusual for my age?, you tell me. I guess I'm intelligent? At the lowest I might be average (I can "do math" well) I am definitely not your average "teenager". I'm currently working in a small grocery store chain in NC called Carlie C's. I stock, bag and bring in carts. It's alright, the girls are nice though (physically and personality wise). So I can't complain too much...

But before this I worked carts at Sam's Club, a Mascot for our local AAA baseball team, and before that a janitor at a local car repair shop.

I'm 34. Longest job I've had is the one I work at now, which is a McJob at a movie theater.

I don't spend much time on anything other than work which really consists of cleaning up after people who are beyond messy (moviegoers are pigs, plain and simple) and occasionally selling the tickets to them, all the while listening to their complaints about prices and their own mistakes about things they often refuse to admit so we employees get the blame.

I have no friends (most of my coworkers are 15-21 and can be quite fake, and I think my age is something that puts them off) and I have no family, though I am starting one of my own since my gf is more than half way through her pregnancy. She has no friends either but it bothers her more than it bothers me.

I spend a lot of time outside when I can just to see something nice and not be in front of a computer screen and the drama is such a waste of time off and on line. I suppose my life is boring and going nowhere since I have little to no money and a low paying McJob (I keep it because it's reliable) so having a kid isn't the most financially smart thing to do but it's worth the challenge and I've come to move on from my initial regret over that reasoning.

I'm not over sharing, I just don't have much to my personal life. I don't know anyone here personally and know nothing about anyone here either.

I have already stated that my perfect first job would be working, either at the electronics (Blu-ray, DVD, music and games) section of a MediaMarkt, or even better yet.. anything, working in my cinema, which I love. Honestly, your love seems to suck.. but I'm taking use of it to talk about.. something curious here; why I seem that cinema is a great experience to me and I never have the issues you talk about. It's Spain but that has nothing to do... it's simply because of this:

http://i.imgur.com/uryNlZl.jpgs
http://i.imgur.com/zisRSkM.jpgs

This is the whole section of menus and snacks for the cinema; literally how it should be; SNACKS. There's way more, M&M's, Snickers, etc.. there's a bar and all where you get popcorns and drinks, but never tacos, hamburguers, and all that kind of shits you get in a 'murican cinema. This is part of the reason why my cinema is so great and the experience not so bad; you CAN'T bring tapperwher'd food from home, you can't bring sandwiches or anything like that.

It's just a better cinema and experience and people, overall.

The prices are a whole different thing also. 6,90 euros (7,50 USD) and in my cinema, wednesdays, it's 3,90, wich is 4,70 dollars.

1. Those pictures look like they were taken in a grocery store.

2. You said you GO to the cinema. I said I WORK in a cinema. There is a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE between being a customer and being an employee. See it from the other side.

3. I don't live in 'murica'. What's 'murica'? I don't live in the United States of America either.

This is part of the reason why my cinema is so great and the experience not so bad; you CAN'T bring tapperwher'd food from home, you can't bring sandwiches or anything like that.

You cannot bring TUPPERWARE (that's how you spell it, not tapperwhatever...you're trying to mock Americans...sorry, 'muricans' but I'm NOT American) to any movie theater. No outside food allowed. Movie theaters make all their money on the food they sell: Popcorn, overpriced drinks, the same M&Ms and other candies, and nachos. That's why they are so overpriced (and quite terrible, though I've never worked with it so I don't have to sell that shit)

It's $7.50 on Tuesdays where I am. Otherwise it's $12.50 for a General Admission and add $3 more for a 3D movie. Want IMAX? and not even real giant 70MM IMAX but that shitty digital LieMAX? $19.50 a ticket.

Bottom line, the experience of a moviegoer - a customer (we call them "guests" and I use the term loosely) is far different than the experience of the employees who have to serve and clean up after them.

Wow, okay, so much for getting defensive over nothing. I'm telling you that things here, at least in MY cinema, are very different. And very normal and not at all like you put it. Though I can understand your point. I'm just expressing that in my cinema luckily things are very different.

Man. I had no idea you guys were actually real.

I'm 19, I currently work at a hardware store, and I'm currently studying at a Polytechnic. My job is quite low pay and I need an office job relevant to my current field of study. I like what I am currently learning in school though. My class is basically all girls which is an interesting experience, to say the least. I'd like to think I'm quite mature and responsible for my age. I like being the best and naturally gravitate to like-minded people.

I enjoy video games, video game music, and of course film scores. That's essentially a day in the life for Quantum.

We all are. If you are anything like your family (who isn't :p) it sounds similar to my family and I. Everybody looks younger than they actually are. My Dad is about 69 years old, my Mom is about 54, none of which look their age. They look at least a couple years younger. My Grandma is 70 something, and the same deal. Don't sweat it.
While it's never a plan to go out and antagonize people, especially strangers, unless you have a really good cause, it's not your job to make people like you. Unless you have a pressing reason for their good graces, (like you want them to hire you,) their opinion of you is irrelevant.
If you run into a lot of people reacting the same way, you have to consider the following question: Are they all jerks, or are you being a jerk?
If you decide you're the one being a jerk, knock it off. Otherwise, not worth your time or energy.

I feel old, actually. I wouldn't do my 30s any differently, but I do wish I could redo my 30s for no other reason than I would appreciate it more.
I'm now convinced that 30-40 is, like, the perfect age. In my 20s, I was still bouncing around the world somewhat aimlessly. That's as it should be - I learned a lot of "hard knock" lessons.
By my 30s, I knew just enough to guide me toward where I wanted to be. I was making better money than I ever did in my 20s, and my health was better (my poor knees! Gads! Not just my knees, where is all my hair going?).

Clonemaster, as one more old fogey wanting to push advise on the generations prior, love every second of your 30s.

right now, 33, training to become a school librarian, after being an actual librarian for 2 years before losing the job (budget cuts, how I loathe thee).

The day I actually getthe job, I revert my avatar to a pic of Rupert Giles.

I'm 37. Pastry chef, manager, part-time A&P (aircraft mechanic), and composer.

Maybe I'll share some tunage here sometime. (No doubt, HDlossless'll demand a flac version.. *rolls eyes*)

I might as well.

Some of you already know a bit about me, but, let's be honest, only one of you really KNOWS me..

My 20th birthday was in September. Born on the 9th in 1995, (yes, my birthday is 09/09) I've spent the majority of my life in school. My current job also happens to be my first job. For those of you who don't know, I'm a first assistant manager at McDonald's. I've worked here since August of 2013. So, almost at two and a half years now. I graduated High School in June of 2013, and immediately applied for the the computer engineering program at the local college. They told me it would be about three to four years on a waitlist since there were too many accepted applicants at the time. Hopefully I will be getting in this coming Setpember. If not, September 2017 at the latest. I've taken this time since I graduated to figure myself out basically. I've been working fulltime and have some money put away for tuition (although not nearly enough).

Aside from McDonald's I also do some volunteer administration and editing work (http://kungfupanda.wikia.com/wiki/User:Zaralith) (although the profile information on this page is a little outdated) and stream on Twitch from time to time for pocket change. I also have a YouTube. Not much resides on it other than some concert band music and compilations I've made. I planned on making a video set of basic audio-engineering techniques I've picked up over the years, but that remains to be seen.

When I'm not at work I listen to music, follow Twitch streamers, catch up on YouTube subscriptions, binge Netflix, talk to distant friends, edit/organize music, daydream... a little bit of everything. I spend most of my free time in my home office here on the computer, though. I have a few hobbies as well. Aside from collecting recording sessions and FYC disks, I also do photography (http://zaralith.deviantart.com), attend local and international anime conventions, and I love to read. I love to collect hardcover books.

I hope this helps some of you understand me better! I am always open to making new friends, so send me a PM sometime.

Kindergarten to 5th grade. As much as kids drive me up the flippin wall, I had a good day. Learned many of their names (shockingly), and got to bond with a few. I'm the first guy counselor, and all the boys are very excited about that. They've been ruled by women all this time lol

Sometimes the worst days of all only need to end with you seeing a few kids doing innocent, typical kids stuff or hysterical/nonsensical things they blurt out. You go awww or hahaha and they made your day.

I'm 24 and work as a cashier at a Walmart, been there 8 months now. I enjoy it sometimes actually. Before I worked as a greenskeeper/janitor/trashman at a shipyard for 5 years, then they fired me along with 20+ others last year with no warning whatsoever. I just showed up for work one day and, boom you're terminated.
