Thank God. I was upset about these VA releases taking the spotlight of JNH's work. Hoping that Shawn Murphy won't botcher the score like he did with Mockingjay Part 1.

Yes indeed, I was surprised but the thread really looked like there was gonna be an upload. Thank god there's no stupid OST with songs this time.

Can't wait. I thought the first Hunger Games score was a bit mediocre aside from a few excellent tracks (which is understandable given that from what I've heard JNH had a very short time to write it), but the Catching Fire score and especially the Mockingjay score are both amazing. I really hope he reuses the Hanging Tree theme from Mockingjay; the fact that that beautiful leitmotif was only used once was the only problem I had with that score. At the very least I'd really like an orchestral version of it to play over the end credits or something. I had really been hoping that it would become the theme for the rebels, but oh well...

This should be moved, but there are no mods. People like myself, mgm and hahah123 are going to think this is Howard's score. Not gonna lie, I got a little hard when I saw this.

Howard's scores for THG seem to be the exception in my experience. They are usually the day of or a week after.

I was beginning to hate all of this songs in the credits instead of the score! And what a score! I'm really anxious to hear it!!! :awsm:

BTW, I knew that even in Mockingjay 1 credits there was place for JNH, obviously after the song. There's "The Hanging Tree" and after there's some pure score, but I couldn't identify it. Same thing for HTTYD. Strange that I haven't seen some credits rip of these yet.

Does any of you have any information on the Score album release? At now, the only thing I was able to find is a cd on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B017RLB66G/soundtrnet-20)... without any cover or tracklist or any other info, just the title. I found the link for it on Soundtrack.net. I'm quite doubtful that it is real. Neither Film Music Reporter ever said a word on a release for the Score.

It's pretty normal for new score listings to lack cover art and tracklists this far from the release date. Dec. 4, though, dang... we'll have to wait a lot longer than I expected.

Anyway guys don't be impatient, the music is quite average. We've heard it all in the previous 2 movies. It's effective in context but I didn't notice any cue I'd want to hear afterwards, aside from a nice instrumental reprise of The Hanging Tree. I don't know about the song in the credits because all the pigs in my showing were too busy screaming and making noise. But from the small bits I could hear it sounded nice.

Did you forget the assassination scene at the end ? With child & women voices ? It is a very beautiful song, just like the end credits.
I agree,on the other hand, that James Newton Howard takes back all the themes of three precedents movie and straightened them.

SPOILER : Moreover the movie ends in one of these most famous at the moment... (Rue) And the scene with Prim (you know about what I speak)...This moment is really fantastic and gave me shivers. :)

All the character's themes return and it creates a very epic, moving and beautiful score and it just reminds me why James Newton Howard is one of my favourite composers. Some tracks from previous films are tracked in at times. The most noticeable is "Air Raid Drill" from Mockingjay Part 1 playing when Katniss and Gale try to make their way to Snow's mansion through fighting rebels and peacekeepers and through scared Capitol citizens. The end credits is a combo of The Hanging Tree, The Train (or A Quarter Quell from CF) and Bow and Arrow from CF. I left after that, my party was tired.

Hoping someone records and uploads the end credits in decent quality. In antovolk we trust? :p

Short list but long song too. In the film, there is no enormously music...most of the time (in particular at the beginning) they are short. :)

I'm truly excited! Especially for "Transfer Command (8:14)", "Sewer Attack (8:00)" and "There Are Worse Games to Play / Deep In Meadow / The Hunger Games Suite (9:41)". They're the longest cues of the whole saga! And the last track seems to be the very first Suite as well...

I'm 99.9% sure that suite is just the end credits. Unless it was altered a bit and it differs from the end credits.

And I don't understand why Katniss is in red armor in all the posters. It's not red in the film, it's black just like it was in pt. I.

Here's to hoping someone on here can do a nice job and make it black.

I left at the end of the "Bow and Arrow" cue from CF, so I couldn't tell you what comes after that. But I enjoyed what I heard. It sounded good and I loved hearing those themes again.
