I'm in Dali and there's a door in the windmill that I cannot open cause it'S locked. I NEED THE MAYOR KEY.
but I don't know how to get it. is there someone who know?

i had the same problem. It must've meant sumthing otherwise they wouldn't have said "You need the Mayors Key" Sorry i can't help you. I'll go look in Gamefaqs or sumthing and get back to you

Edit: ok so i just checked a couple walkthroughs, but every time it skipped the part about the door. I don' know so u may wanna ask somebody else but i'm pretty sure its nothing

You can't get it at your first visit in Dali. You'll be able to get it later though. Go to the one guy who always threw you out of the house. This time he'll be asleep.

Zidane has the chance to look through the place now. You have to do it in a certain direction. If not, the guy will wake up and throw you out again.

Start with the desk. You'll find a mini figurine as far as I remember. After that, check out the desk again. I can't really remember what comes after that, but it could be the cupboard. This one also needs to be checked twice. There was one more thing, but I can't remember.

One thing is sure, there are a few things you have to do twice. Whenever you make one mistake somewhere, the guy kicks you out. You have to go back in there and start from the beginning (desk, desk....etc. )

Just try around a bit, and you should be able to get it. ;)

The only time you can get the Mayor's Key, is when you're in Treno for the Card Tournament in disc 3.

At this point in the game, you'll only be in control of Zidane, but can still leave the town if you want. It involves a bit of a hike from Treno to Dali though via South Gate, but it's worth it, as this is the only time in the game you can get the key (because the Mayor is in Alexandria at that time).

If you neglect to do this, you've lost the key forever (as well as one of the rare Coffees that Mr Morrid in nearby Observatory Mountain is looking for).

I think you get about 50 000 gil, but i cant remember...

Thanks Enkidoh, I really forgot to mention that. But it is very important. You can only do it before you finish the card tournament. If the last round is over, the story continues and you got no chance to get the key in Dali again!!! =-O

Well, you can get the key if you go there again. Behind the door you'll find 30.000 Gil and one of the three coffee packs the old guy is looking for (the guy in the tower beside Dali).

Beside that, the wheels of the mill aren't moving, this means you can go to the treasure chests on top. You'll find on elixer and an equipment.... ;)

Yeah, only 30,000. So really it's the coffee you're after, if you're trying to get everything possible to help towards the S Rank Medal.

That's correct, the coffee is the important item, not the others and not the money, either. Even if there were 50.000 Gil, the coffee would still be the main item. ;)

I know that if you collect all three coffee's the old guy gives you something, a floating airship model i think, but where do you collect it? some one said it's outside Tantalus HQ but when i go there, no airship...

Yes, it is at the Tantalus HQ. I noticed it the last time I played it. I never noticed it before. The old guy just tells you, he's going to send you this airship model, but that's about it. He doesn't say when he's going to send it.

I've seen it pretty late....I don't know if that was before or after you went to Terra. I was happy to see it though, even if it doesn't make sense. It was right beside the ladder.... ;)

The airship model is an old bug. It'll be in the Tantalus headquarters, but there's no way you can ever take it into your inventory, at least not in the U.S. version. It'll still count toward the S Rank though.

No, you can't in the European version, either. But there is no need for it. The old guy says, he's going to send it to you, and he does.... And it is there, that's all what counts. ;)
