The first disc aside from the first couple of tracks bore me. but sof ar disc 2 is awesome!! I think the first disc is suppose to be the more cinematic cutscene side while disc 2 is the combat music.

Yeah I haven't listened to really anything besides "Halo Canticles" and the Osiris Suites. I really like Act 1 a lot.
Definitely better than most of Halo 4. Although I liked "Aliens" from volume 2 a lot.

I think the first disc has some good tracks, but I agree a lot of it sounds very cinematic and ambient.
I specifically like the integration of theme motifs from Halo 1-3, but also the integration of recurring themes from Halo 4 such as "117".
