So that's it, after 15 years of waiting, the album comes out tomorrow. Although it's not really the promised "Chrono Cross" album, it's still amazing. Hope it'll be as good as Creid.

I'll be waiting patiently for someone, in the meantime I'd also like to request something else, there was a live event today which ended a few minutes ago, I could not listen to it, I believe they played the full album live, but the replay is only available to niconico premium members. Is there someone out there able to rip this video ? This would be absolutely amazing. The video is available here :

Thank you !

They did preview the full album, but only three of the songs were performed live. (The songs covered were: Wind Scene, Schala's Theme, and On the Other Side / Epilogue ~ To Good Friends.) These were, however, exclusively arranged for the show itself, and they sound very different from what we're getting on the album. Far more acoustic and instrumental-based.

For those who missed out on the stream, I took the liberty of capturing a recording of the live tracks. There's a few slight sound anomalies in the recording (i.e. a hiss here and a crackle there), which was inherent in the stream itself. I fixed those as best as I could:

Thank you so much for this, I must say I wasn't expecting someone to actually have the live tracks... So it was only three of them, but they are absolutely lovely. I love the fact that they didn't try to play the exact same arrangements from the album.
I was afraid I couldn't get a chance to listen to them you answered my prayers both here and on vgmdb (I'm the one who asked there too, I guess you are the same Angela). Thank you so much again, it is truly appreciated !
(So did you get a chance to listen to the full album ? What are you thoughts ?)

You are brilliant and awesome, good madam!

I downloaded it, and did some remastering with Ozone 5 to clean up and master the audio better, since I doubt we will get a official release of these tracks anytime soon.

Yup, that's me over there too. :) As for the full album, I've enjoyed most of what I heard. I'm a sucker for vocals, so I'm likely to be more lenient towards this album than others are going to be. I'm already infatuated with lainn's rendition of "To Far Away Times", and I'm digging Shigihara's tracks as well.

I guess my main qualm would be the oppressively ethereal and calming nature of the album itself. Maybe "oppressive" isn't the right word, but I do feel that we could have used more upbeat, spirited tracks like "Marbule" to counteract the many other low key pieces that's featured. To that end, I think Xenogears' CREID did a better job at being the 'complete package.'

I understand what you mean, there's a lot of powerful, catchy music on Cross & Trigger and it could have used more of that. Just a look at the tracklist makes you think they wanted do so something more "intimate". Maybe that's inherent to the nature of these games after all. Anyway, thank you for your opinion, I can't wait to listen to it now !
