nightwish are really good actually....if ur into kinda teh same tunes then evanesacancenancene or however u spell it are also good.....Hmmmm or if ur looking for the same melodic metal with different lyrics then try downloading sum song by Norther, there another really good band

If you like Nightwish I would recommend giving Lacuna Coil a try (or so says my metal friend)

Fan of Nightwish? Try Epica then. Also, you'd be interested in Theatre of Tragedy and Tristania, I'd bet. They're a bit more gothic than Nightwish, but definately woorth a listen.

Oh, one word of warning, don't get any ToT album after A�gis, the Musique thing really set them on the fast road to musical hell.

I'm a complete fanatic of Evanescence so when I heard Nightwish I liked 'em immediately.

If you like Nightwish you'll love Therion. And ofcourse there's Epica (yay an awesome band from my country) and Within Temptation (also from my country) especially their newest albume The Silent Force. Lacuna Coil obviously and (and I bet no one has ever heard of this one) Thalion.

Therion are excellent, much more operatic than Nightwish (for those who havn't heard them).Going crazy trying to find the Lemuria/Sirius B double album = D

I had no trouble getting the double album, I bought on it's first day of release. =)

Therion are ok and ToT are brilliant due to the fact they utilise both male and female vocals regularly! Not a fan of female fronted goth bands generally though!

Blind Guardian is good. And of coarse Lucuna Coil.

dream theater?

Dream Theatre is always good too. Of course they're way too talented for mainstream rock radio.

Nightwish is all right. They're fun to listen to while playing FFXI, but they're not a band I can really get into.

Lacuna Coil reminds me a little of them.

I think Nightwish isn't that good to be someone's favourite but there are some good songs like Sacrament of wilderness and the kinslayer. I don't like their new album, getting too commercialised imo.

Nightwish are OK, really, but thats all they are, imo.
