Has anyone played this game?............i got it on christmas and it's sooooooooo great wondering if anyone thought the same? Plus how are your characters doing and where are you in the game?

I'm in Rohan just crossed the brigde outside of the cave.

I got this game for 15 dollars, and am glad I didn't pay any more for it. It's a pretty solid game, as long as you can ignore the story. Because this game doesn't really have much of one and what little there is really doesn't make any sense.

The gameplay is basically a cut and paste hodepodge of other rpgs, with the battle system being a direct rip off of FFX's. The only thing this game got right is the amount and variety of weapons, armor, and accesories your characters can equip. There's a whole lot of them, all very detailed, and each has a little one line description about each piece of equipment's history, other games should take a cue from that.

Overall a decent game, not much stands out about it. I'm just glad it can be finished in 20 hours, because much longer than that and the third age would have gotten really annoying.

I played my brother's copy for a while last time I was at my parents' house. It was okay, but I really had a hard time getting over the "familiarity" of the battle system. I'll rent it or something so I can give it a fair shake.

the battle systems mainly like FFX so its not hard to understand (if you've played it) anyway enjoy the game :)

Yes i saved over my FF8 file at Ultimecias castle with a file from the 1st disc

so i'm not the only one.........thats a releif :)

I might rent it, or buy it either one.

Its just a clone of ff10..lol it just seems pointless buying it . Oh and as its based on the film , you only know nothing about the story if by chance you havent seen any of the lotr films (lol which is impossible). Your basically following the same path...so quite a shit game really.

That's a pretty stupid argument for it being a bad game. None of the things you mentioned are reasons why it would be bad, even if you don't like them.

good point and you don't need to see the films to understand it all you've gotta do is look at the 'epic scenes from middle-earth' part and you can basically get the story from that :)
