I found the source material of this file somewhere online by accident and it appears that whoever uploaded the source material does not want to make any comment on it. So please understand that there's no point asking me where I found it, thank you. :)

Judged with my untrained ears, this track sounds like the genuine one from the FYC 2CD set, instead of a fan edit, just without the corrupted parts. But sadly, again, it's from a lossy source like the FYC CDs, so I think an iTunes plus file should just suffice.

Here's the link to the file:
https://mega.nz/#!3MhlzbpT!GpZ0B0PB0a4JD8UNV-rdJ3t6UpbgnuMXzXWlXkb2Fzo

Please forgive me if I made a mistake and this track does not sound like a genuine official mix to your ears.
But if it does, something like a 'thank you' or 'like' is very much appreciated. ;)

He added that line to his post after I posted my question, instead of just replying to my post. Fucking lol.

Well to my untrained ears this new "version" sounds great. Comparing it to what's included in Lockdown's edition (which I believe is Tyler's edit btw) they sound very similar except for now there isn't that very slight SFX. Either way, the intrigue that is Interstellar continues lol. This score has had it all. Tracks not released to the film's climax, then released but not close to what's heard in the film, then released again in a different variation but still not close, then other track released but with distortion... Enough to make you dizzy...

So yeah, thanks for posting. :D

Isn't it great being a fan of film music? If only the general public knew what we're put through......

Most people are shocked to realize that not all the music from a movie isn't on its OST.

Thanks for this!

I can remember when I was that way. The very first time I KNEW you could purchase film scores was when my cousin put on LOTR. That was years and YEARS ago. It wasn't until years after that that I began to realize just how much was missing from most releases. Now I'm just a LITTLE bit obsessive about it... haha

I went through this whole ordeal when I explained to my sister how I "met an online friend in person from a place where I get all my music". I had to go into great depth about the huge black market there is for film scores lol

Years ago when I was naive about how it all worked, I thought that everything was released on CD and I just assumed cues were recycled/reused and that was my explanation as to why the CDs were so short. How dumb is that? I'm embarassed to admit it, but that's the truth lol

But I'm sure you've learned some things after being here for over a year and a half. I certainly did. This place was an eye-opener for me.

I didn't have a thought process as to why they were short, I was just oblivious for a while. oops...

Funny, I finally listened to this score yesterday and today. Not bad, not great, but definitely one of the more interesting Zimmer scores in awhile.

Less of an edit and more of a small improvement thanks to a better source. If the original poster is to be believed.
