hi, I'm stuck at the part in disc 3 where you fight in the battle arena to get the final attack materia. I've gotten enough BP points to buy the omnislash and w-summon, got them, but now i don't know what to do. When i talk to the girl at the desk in the arena she just says the same message 'register for battle?' ... do i have to keep fighting battles until this changes, or do i have to attempt to buy the 2 items again? please help! thanx!!

In order to get the Final Attack Materia, you need to fight a series of harder battles in the battle arena including Proud Clod.
If you have bought omnislash and w-summon, go back to the battle arena, and amass a further 32000 battle points, I think it is then that you will be aksed to take part in a series of harder battles.

nope, it didn't work. I even got 65000 BP and still no luck. I tried buying omnislash and w-summon again but it says 'we are out of this prize currently.' I'm about to throw this #%$@ game out the window! The only thing i can think of is that maybe there's something i need to do in the game first before i can get the materia, like fight one of the weapons (though you almost need the final attack materia to fight them), but i'm at the final part of the game where you go inside the crater, so i don't know... does anyone know what to do ? thanks

Omnislash needs to be LEARNED I think, but if you've already done that, then I'm left clueless.

Unfortunately there is some glitch in my game that won't allow me to gain any new limit breaks after level one. I pretty much confirmed this after I killed 120 consecutive enemies with Cloud and didn't gain the level 2 - blade beam limit break. This pretty much screws my game because i can't get the final attack materia and henceforth can't use it in the battles with emerald / ruby weapon and sephiroth. I guess the materia is not essential in finishing the game but that and not having good limit breaks makes the game less enjoyable... :-S

well you need need Final Attack to win, I won without them. But you should get a new ff7 man. If you cant learn limits past lvl 1 sigh. You are missing out. Get a new FF7 is all i can say. Or your save file is corrupted. And someone said Omnislash is learned. No its not. You buy it.

you need to have ultima weapon and i think omnislash and then when u fight u can register for the special battle

You need to have bought the Omnislash and the W-Summon Materia for the special battles...

You have to defead the Ultima Weapon (the one that flies around) at first. After you killled it, you can go back to the Gold Saucer. Now the woman at the desk will tell you about the special fight.

If you kill Ultima Weapon before you ever started with the battle arena, you can just go there after you killed it, and get all the things in a row (W-summon, Omnislash, Final Attack). But you should save your game in between. Of course that's up to you. ;)

Someone told me that you have to get W-Summon, Omnislash and Championship belt prizes then defeat Ultimate Weapon, then amass a further 64000 points, then you have to talk to the guy standing near one of the vending machines.... Oh I also think that you can only do it on Disc 3...

never got the belt, or an extra 64000. your doing way too much. its not that hard to do, its just have ultima weapon and omnislash and i think thats it, then u can do the fight, and all u have to do is complete the fight. look at a strategy guide.

You have Omnislash and W-Summon. Beat Ultimate WEAPON, get Ultima Weapon for Cloud. THAT is how you get to the special battle.

can you get all of the summons in one materia and whats it called if you can?

Its called Master Summon, and if you can beat Emerald WEAPON, you get Earth Rose, and if you give that to the trader in Kalm, he'll give you ALL the Master Materia (Master Summon, Master Support etc).

i think some of you are mixing up between fact and fiction, first of all, you need ultima weapon, omnislash and w-summon, then you fight for the Final Attack materia. about the guy by a vending machine, everytime you come in and out of the golden saucer entrance, there is a man standing up in the top left corner, but it is only random when he appears, and he will sell you i think it's 100 saucer points for 10,000 Gil.

another thing, if you beat, i think it's ruby, and give what he drops to the trader in Kalm, he will give you a golden chocobo and some other cool stuff, but it is faster to do it the trader way then do it yourself....it would take way to long to master all those different materia, lmao, espacially 2x slash...which, being the sucker i am..i did lol

I do not ever remember having to beat Ultima Weapon before I got the Special battles.

Either that, or you have a bad memory. You MUST get Cloud's Ultimate Weapon, THEN go to Battle Arena and into Special Battle (just need W-Summon and I'm in myself).
Note: I am playing on a new file, the reason I know about the thing is because I have a file with everything on it.

Well Its always worked for me, and I like the Championship belt anyway... I don't know if you have to amass that many points but...:)

i didn't have to collect any battle points, i just went in there after i got ultima weapon and it lets you do it

To access the Secret Duel, you have to trade in enough BP for the W-Summon materia and Omnislash, and you need Cloud's ultimate weapon, the Ultima Weapon, which you get from Ultimate Weapon (^_^). Cloud is the only party member that can participate in the Secret Duel.

You must get 65,000 BP, you can spend it, but you must get that much first
Then you talk to the girl and fight the special battle. Winning will get you the Final Attack materia.
