same here...I liked it better when Son Goku was a kid...and the series was actually funny...

im used to the graphics on z so dragonball was a bit weird and i didn't like the first saga of gt but the super 17 saga was great

But it's still Akira Toriyama doing the drawing, oh well...the animation is way different I guess...

Yeah I'm a big fan of all the series, they all had some unique aspects I liked, I think all in all it was a great series.

Dragonball Z used to be my favorite anime, then I saw the Freeza/Cell/Buu sagas. They should've ended everything after the Freeza episodes, starting with those everything went down hill.

The Cell saga was okay, the Saiya-jin saga was the best though...from DBZ, out of Dragonball, it was definitely the first Tenkaichi Budoukai

mixing the themes of Dragonball and Dragonball Z into GT was not a good idea...I've only seen one minute of it and I know I don't like it...I still only really like Dragonball and up to where Dragonball Z was supposed to end(end of Freeza saga).

I thought the Dragonball Series was really good, I liked the storyline.
But they changed the channel that it's shown on now, so I can't watch it...:(

ah, DBZ...is the shit really that old...it was a good series. but i enjoyed the movies better, just straight fighting. the Bojack, Jemenba and 1st Broily are my favorites.

I sorta liked the second Brolly movie, mostly the funny parts...

Cheap, stupid, and irritating as hell to watch--you go away for a month not watching it and come back and watch it again and you didn't miss shit, and it isn't one bit better. Same stupid shit over and over and over again.

Also, it's pretty shit that the only way a fight is decided as to who a winner is hinges on who shouts "Kamehameha" the loudest.

I have almost the complete colection of DB mangas and some of DBZ and I still read them when I don't have anything better to do, actually I'm trying to get my colection complete....and I LOVE to draw Dragonball, I think Akira Toriyama's style is one of the best.

I like the martial tournments in DB, yesterday I read the #20 to #24 editions of the DB manga and its when happens the tournment when goku fights tenshinhan and after that starts the piccolo daimao saga, then today I saw this thread...hehehe nice.

DB was the best, even though i only saw all the episodes in the last year or so. There was nothing wrong with the graphics in DB, they look more authentic than the newer graphics that look like Beyblades or some other crappy show. DBGT was crappy and should have never happened. ARGH! Pan is so annoying, and trunks... where the hell does he come from. Trunks was a boring character in DBZ and was a boring character in DBGT. I think that DBGT wasnt that great with kid goku, was because of the fact that he had an adult way about him and not the childish giggly way he was in DB. Another reason i hated DBGT was because of baby. i remember watching one episode with him and he was little, and the next day he was big and grown up and on Earth killing people. I was like, WHEN THE FUCK DID ALL THIS HAPPEN! Right after that I couldnt be bothered watching it anymore. PEACE OUT

And DBZ had action? It had a ridiculous amount of dialogue in the fights, the characters often just floated in the air swinging wildly with poor animation, and when something did happen, it was just an oversized explosion following a really loud and pointless yell.

Im betting you saw DB after watching all the episodes of DBZ. Because if you did, then you would be expecting all the stuff that happened in DBZ, such as Super Saiyan. "Action"? At least in DB a battle wouldnt take 2 weeks to finish. I mean in the saga where super saiyan Gohan and perfect cell are fighting, it took about 3 episodes for them to complete a Kame-hame-ha wave(i have no idea how it is spelled). They would just standing there, laying back, saying stuff like "I bet Gohan will win"... "No way, Gohans fucked" Another ridiculous thing about the "action" in DBZ is how when they fly at eachother in the air, they ricochet off each other like a bouncing ball "toing" "twang" "fling". LOL, what about when Goku is summoning something like the spirit bomb. It takes around 4 days until its complete. And the whole time he is summoning it, his opponents just stand there with their eyes open and mouth shaking everywhere, letting out a silent groan. Yup, plenty of action there.

dragon ball is originally based on a chinese novel (saiyuki) to see it evolved into what you see now is really disappointing, though I prefer the z series rather than the first one. it would be best if it toei wasn't presurring toriyama because they want more fund! since toriyama's plan was to end the series only after freeze is defeated.

gt is a waste of air space. its toei desperate plan to earn more money. they directed the anime themselves because toriyama doesn't want ot continue anymore.

I don't know guys, I've really only read the first book of DB manga. In Swedish. But I gotta say, it's the best manga I've ever read. There's just something about Swedes and dialogue... and Swedes and sound effects... and Swedes and lemon crepes...

I read the original DB manga, watched DB and DBZ. I liked the phase with Kid Son Goku the most, it was funny, towards the DBZ-phase, it was mainly about fighting and the dragon balls themselves were only used for reviving people...that was rather dull.

when I was young, I liked DBZ, I watched all episodes, it looked like i was totally obsessed with it. and I also bought a few DB manga to draw the characters..those kind of things, but now, I�m bored of it.

I really don't care for the "Dragon Ball" series, but I love "Dragon Ball Z". "Dragon Ball GT" is okay. I watch it every now and then, but I still wish they'd re-play some episodes of "Dragon Ball Z".

dragon ball was pretty cool i guess, but dbz and gt primarilly rely on the strongest surviving, and its a very cliche escapist show. its all about provoking emotions in the easiest and most direct way, and they do that by having the good guy be weaker than the bad guy, until the goodguy transforms or surpasses a previously unattainable level. its a very basic formula but i guess it worked for all the less mature watchers out there. personally when i watch an action saga, i like to see strategy replacing the whole "super sayan" transformation. its alot more realistic, and provides for a greater conflict

it isn't decided on one word you dolt its decided on what the script writers/artists want to see. put that in your pipe and smoke it!!!!!!!!!

I think early dragon ball is still one of the better light adventure comics you can find out there. If Toriyama had been able to stop it after a few years like he apparently originally wanted to, it'd be a classic, I think.

Instead, it ran so long that even when I see a professional list it as one of his biggest influences he has to clarify the point in the story that he eventually became tired of it.

I am really only familiar with DBZ since they started showing Dragonball when i left for University and now im back its not on anymore (just my luck.). i've seen some of GT and unlike many people i thought it was ok, not great but not crap. I just got all of the series so i am gonna sit and watch em but to be honest i quite like DBZ even with all the grunting. I like the characters and the way they develop (especially Vegeta) however like someone allready mentioned the best part of Z was up until Frieza after that it just wasn't the same.

like i said, anyone who watches db, dbz, or dbgt has the same idea of vionance as a preschooler
