he does sorta look like seifer but not that much....

It would've been cool to have had a final confrontation of sorts between Rufus and Cloud, but the way he gets taken out of the game was good, as it's the planet ultimately that destroys the Shinra president in retaliation for the use of the Mako cannon.

Yes the way he died was great and I really don't want to change it. A final battle would be cool though.

I would have liked kicking his butt and face better. It was short of stupid... your second main enemy.... gone... w/o even doing snitch about it ;_;
I really was looking forward into battling him again with my entire and well trained party ^_^

I think it could have gone either way really, It was a nice FMV though. In someways I would have liked to destroy him limb for limb myself, but he has a good death :D

It was a shame he had to go out like that....but i didn't feel sorry for him, nor did i like it when he died...anyways he was ready for it so...whatever...

Damn I wanted to see an fmv where Cloud and others (especially Barret) got revenge in an fmv.or even better in a fight.spose it served him right how the makou killed him in a way cos it came back at him. hahaha

yea square makes chracters you can hate and love. rufus on the hate side. aeris you know. yea that sucks because lok at all the damage he's done to midgar and all over and all you get to do is to watch him get whomped by the mako cannon. kinda cool though.

one suggestion: the idea behind marking things as spoilers is to protect people who haven't finished the game yet. if you put the spoiler in the subject, then people will see it whether they view the thread or not, which sort of defeats the purpose of tagging something as a spoiler.

but anyways.....

it was a pretty cool fmv, but i didn't want rufus to die, he was so cool!! i don't think a final fight would have been good because then he would just be a joke like sephiroth was. i'd rather imagine how cool rufus could have been if we had thrown down.

I wouldn't want to fight him, he'd be weak. If he couldn't withstand a blast from the weapon, and my team could, he'd be toast! It was funny seeing the glass shatter and then BOOM!

I really wanted to fight him myself but the FMV when he died was pretty cool still.

I was too angry at sephiroth through most of the game to notice such a small subject such as rufus, to me it was just an irritation out of the way, and besides him getting blown to shit was ok with me

I can't remember how I felt. It was so long ago. I guess a final battle would have been cool. I don't know really. Haven't put much thought into it.....

Weapon did a good job of killing him, but I would have liked to have seen what would have happened to him if he had lived?

The first time I played it I was hoping for a match against Rufus... I was looking forward to a showdown. (Even though you fought Rufus in the beginning of the game at the ShinRa building when he first became Pres...)

And since you had fought Elena, Rude and Reno before... I just assumed that you would be able to fight Rufus again in a Final Showdown.

I was actually very disappointed when how he died. I actually felt sorry for him....

Yeah it would have been cool if he had lived. Maybe it would be a cool side-story if he survived the explosion and had to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with the AVALANCHE.

Maybe he would be a good guy?

Since Shin-ra was destroyed and everything.

actually, the reason shinra was over was because he died... thats at the end of disc 2.

Yeah I know that already, I've only beaten the whole thing once though.... so my memory is a little foggy. :p

I still think it would be cool if he had lived though, he wasn't really a bad kid, just misguided thats all.:)

I wanted to kill him myself also........I was loooking forward to a showdown the whole game (I love 1 on 1s :)) Even though I would have liked to do the job myself, he got what was coming to him. I was laughin when he got blown up :) Its pretty funny if you think about it- you go up and actually FIGHT Diamond Weapon but he gets killed by a stray shot.
