Hi guys,
What's with the different score types?
I have Batman Begins score and I also have the expanded score. I assumed that the expanded score would contain the regular score plus more however that doesn't seem to be. None of the tracks from the regular score seem to be on the expanded score.

I also have some complete scores that seem to have some pieces missing that are in the regular scores. Are tracks just named and seperated differently in complete and expanded scores? Or do I need to get all the different scores available for each movie etc?

The reason there is confusion is because some composers (such as Hans Zimmer) sometimes combine parts of multiple tracks to create new "suites" as apart of the soundtrack release. Then you get and "expanded score" which has some more tracks. Some might be as heard in the film, some might not be the same. Then you get the "complete scores" which often times aren't official releases. These normally have all the music, as heard in the film. Sometimes though, even the so called "complete score" can be missing inserts, or film versions of tracks among other things... But in general, if you have a "complete score" it will have at least MOST of the music, and normally at least very close to as it's heard in the film. I hope that makes some sense. There are others here that have much more knowledge than I do and I'm sure can explain it better. ;)

The other thing is that sometimes some releases will use the same terminology and mean different things. Sometimes the expanded score will be complete... sometimes the complete won't even be TOTALLY complete. Frustrating at times.
