Is this edit complete? Does it combine the game-rip you made previously as well as the official release? More details would be appreciated. Can I get rid of the old Original Sound Version as well as the official release? Is this the definitive version for the soundtrack? :)

It's everything aside from the extra tracks that I still have a separate link for on the nexus thread. Yes you can replace the old rip.

Haven't downloaded this yet, but, what exactly is "Mount Wario (1st Place)"? Why does that have a 1st Place variation, but others don't?

Because Mount Wario doesn't loop in the OST and plays better as a single song. I thought it more fitting for it to have its forerunner beats as a separate track. The other tracks have the forerunner beats usually after the loop.

I kept the old rips and this makes the full collection. Thanks

Will variation tracks become available for DLC Pack 2?

You do know that each of the 3 sections have separate forerunner beats, don't you?

In the thread where he has all his soundtracks posted, for Mario Kart 8, there's a pack for "Separate Variation Tracks" which are standalone tracks for Normal, First Place beats. They're in their own track unlike the original sound version, where both variations are mixed together in a single track.

He has all the separated variation tracks for all courses except for the ones in DLC 2.

You never said "separated" at first.

Maybe but matching the OSV with the 1st place beats and whole variations were no easy task to begin with.

Yes.

Why is it called Original Sound Version if it's from the Original Soundtrack? There's a difference, you know.

Thanks so much for this! I've never played 8, but after listening to the music recently, it's become easily my favorite Mario Kart soundtrack. It's great to have such a thorough compilation, with both split and combined versions of most tracks as well as precise composer / arranger tagging. Sure, if you ever add the split tracks for the remaining DLC courses that would be great, but honestly, I'm more than satisfied as-is. Nice work!

The old Extras OSV link doesn't work for MP3
