Season 1 was great. It had a lot to establish and create.
Season 2 was fun. You can play with what you built.

Season 3 is so sloooooooooooow. :-/
There's nothing left to establish nor create.
2 episodes were actual story.
The rest were college projects experimenting in slow motion scenes.
Way too much slow motion to illustrate Will's mind breaking.

Once I heard the series got cancelled, I saw it coming since they're riding Will Graham to death by now.
He should have only been 2 seasons, tops.

The bureau working with Hannibal alone took way too long.
Sesons 2 and 3 could have been condensed as one to get the story moving along so we can introduce Clarice Starling a lot sooner.

But, the rumors about the cancellation is that the rights over the character of Clarice Starling are what caused the cancellation.
I could see it. I could also see it that the show moves way too slow.

I Was Sad To Hear It Cancelled I Was Really Looking Forward to "Red Dragon"

But It Is Sad. I Liked Season 1 and 2 But I Agree So Far Season 3 Is A Bit Slow, But Now No Chance Seeing As Netflix and Amazon Bowed Out Of Picking It Up.

Omg, the Tooth Fairy!
See, they should have picked that up right away.

They should go to ShoTime.
HBO is too prolific. I don't see them picking up in the middle without rebooting.

O_O

That would make a stellar end to the franchise.

Yes, And Possibly Re-Boot The Films (But I Agree It Should End There)

Agree. Season Three has been a trifle slow but I'd rather watch a slower paced Hannibal than just about any other show. And the pace has picked up. Things should get very interesting, and by interesting I mean bloody and weird and bloody, now that we're down home on Verger's farm and pigs-trained-to-eat-humans emporium.
