Jurassic World was meh. I'm still baffled at how much it's grossed to date. Complete shock. Genisys can't do any worse, critically. And you know people will flock to see it. I was initially against it (and completely pissed off about the watered-down rating), but after the man himself, Cameron - gave his blessing, I was sold. It also can't be any worse than Rise of the Machines and especially Salvation.

Renaming works only or rather depends on either you're with Mac or PC. In case of PC I think it has to have some codec or something to rename the files so not all of us can just rename it as simple as it may seem like.

Those two files open just fine in GoldWave when I rename them to M4A.

So I have to admit that I have never heard the original Terminator theme for Terminator or T2 before I listened to this. When I first listened I was really disappointed by it. Because of the theme's that Balfe used and the really fake sounding orchestra throughout it. Now after hearing the original theme for Terminator I realize it's the same exact thing. I'm giving it another listen with that mind and see if my appreciation for it changes. I still feel like I'm listening to Transformers AOE though which still puts a rather generic taste in my mouth.

I listened to this album last night and am currently dumbfounded how I missed any additional phrases from Fiedel's Terminator score in the rest of Balfe's music. The final track, "Terminated," features an excellent re-production of the T2 arrangement (Balfe and Zimmer operating in top form) but the rest is sub-Jablonsky, unfortunately. Someone said earlier they would rather be listening to Age of Extinction: I agree. After their awesome rejected score for Dredd (available on Drokk: Music Inspired by Mega City-One) and the creepy work on Ex Machina, Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury would've done Fiedel proud.

Can anyone help me find these additional uses of Fiedel's theme?

After listening to this soundtrack, I was completely hooked. Lorne Balfe may not be Brad Fidel (thank God he's not), but delivers the good on each track. Very enjoyable and perfectly fits the action in this up-coming film. Props go to soundtrack executive producer Hans Zimmer. Overall, I give it a B for this music from the motion picture Terminator: Genisys.

As I said, pay no mind to the reviews and base your opinions on what you see, not what others think you should think. remember that these same critics gave Jurassic World middling reviews (and will probably do so for the last of the 'Big 3 sequels' - SWTFA).

As for the bonus track, "Griffith Park" is the track that should have been on the OST. It's the music scoring 1984 scenes where the T-800 is interrupted by Guardian and destroyed. It includes Brad Fiedel's famous "mechanical heartbeat" motif from the first film.

This score is "Transformers" on acid. There is "Arrival to Earth", "Optimus", or "Scorponok" reminiscences in every other track.

It's generous to say the theme is 'quoted throughout.' It occurs partially on 2 tracks other than 'Terminated.' It wasn't enough for me, considering the rest of it is fairly generic noise.

Anyone know if more of feidel's themes appear throughout the movie, than whats just on the soundtrack?

Griffith Park is where the Terminator encounters the punks (http://www.itsfilmedthere.com/2012/08/the-terminator.html), which is replicated in "Genysis" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wU5VUa3sJM). I'd guess it's early scene, but don't know for sure.

^This really pisses me off. It seems to be a "phenomenon" that's occurring more and more with movie music these days -- just like the whole Interstellar fiasco.

True - I mean, it took almost 20 years for The Lion King to leak, and there are plenty of other notable RCP-scored films that have yet to have their scores leak, but TASM2 is the one that is most wanted ATM.
