Received link, downloaded file, and unzipped error-free. Thanks for making this available, and I'll let you know how I think City of Praque's interpretation compares to the original.

But, like someone else here, It'll have to wait until I get through some Horner music that relates to flying and also his music that relates to race in America.

I do thank you for providing the opportunity to hear this interpretation.

Having listened to Herrmann's original recording more times than I can remember over the past 35 years it's very, very difficult to overcome my familiarity with that performance, which is a round-about way of saying that while I have nothing but respect for Nic Raine's accomplishment here, I still think the Prague brass section is the orchestra's weakest link, lacking the exuberance and (most of all) the stamina of the former NPO players, by way of comparison. I'm also a bit thrown by Mr. Raine's sometimes inconsistent tempi. That all said, the string and woodwind sections demonstrate admirable nuance and expressiveness.

This is a great share but it would be nice to support and buy this non expensive issue. James Fitzpatrick at Tadlow music spend time, money, and effort in making these wonderful recordings. We can make ffshrines better by offering out of print deleted or hard to find. Just a suggestion Plus you don't get the wonderful bluray!

As an ardent Herrmann fan myself, I can assure you: you won't be disappointed. This is a spectacular recording, absolutely recommendable!
