A nice share, erich. I don't need a link, I own that CD for almost 40 years. This CD was one of several others Herrmann produced with Decca/Phase4 in the early 70ies. While the sound is much superior to the crappy audio quality of the OST (only available as bootlegs), the tempi are much slower. The Prelude doesn't have the urgency and dramatic impact as in Herrmann's original recording for the movie - for reasons unknown he apparently chose to slow down it in this recording. But I can absolutely recommend to download this version, it's Herrmann conducting himself, after all, and should not be missed!
