There are plenty of threads asking what your favorite games are, but nothing asking what you loved as a kid, so I figured I'd do the asking.

Duckhunt and Super Mario Bros. 3 are givens, I think.

I also remember being very fond of A Boy and His Blob, Harvest Moon on the SNES, anything Kirby related, and this game that involved a geeky guy getting stranded in the jungle, and him becoming significantly less geeky as the levels progressed.

Haunted House on atari, it was the only atari game I could actually "win"
Oh and Dungeon Explorer on TG16

I don't really vividly remember most atari and odyssey games.

Either I was too young, or they just didn't make that much of an impression on me. =/

I didn't like games as a kid, to be honest. I only started playing them seriously when I was in my mid teens.

My brother had a game called "Vampire". He was playing it, and I was watching it, because I was drew a whole map to this game. This game was cool (a bit like Mario), but I could never play it on my own, because it was my brothers stuff.

But we liked to play a fighting game together. You had to go through 10 battles (yep, only 10), and the game was done. I picked one player, and my bro picked another one......and we kept playing it until forever. Too bad I can't remember the name anymore, but it's been a long time since we played it.

I can't remember the other games we played, but they weren't too spectacular anyway. :(

Like Prak said, I also stared playing seriously when I was in my mid teen. ;)

Lester the Unlikely.

I lived on Zelda when the NES first came out... followed by Super Dodgeball, Super Tecmo Bowl, Double Dragon, and River City Ransom. Also, Guardian Legend... which eluded me for quite some time.

I forgot about Double Dragon and River City Ransom. My brother and I loved to play those together.

I never really got into to Zelda until A Link to the Past- I think that's the name of it anyways. I played the earlier incarnations after that.

Still my all-time favorite childhood game is Blaster Master. Yes, I know that the plot is to rescue your frog who escaped into a hole, and then the guy mysteriously finds a vehicle after jumping down. But still, it was awesome!

Plot didn't really matter until 32 bit imo.

I loved Double Dragon and River City Ransom. Also played a lot of Missle Command, Astroids, and some kind of game with the word "Ark" in the title for Atari where the point was flying a spaceship around and collecting specimins that were running around on the ground.

Also of course played a ton of Mario. Loved Contra, P.O.W., Bad News Baseball (A game I played more than any other, and like it better than any other baseball game ever), all the TMNT games, Ninja Gaiden, Megaman 2, Duck Tales...

that's pretty much it.

Ah, good old Turtles in Time.

I used to beat that game before I went to school in the morning.

That's the only Turtles game I remember vividly, though.

your frog jumps down an endlessly long hole, you jump down after it, both of u survive the fall, only to find an alien tank that can JUMP, and later climb on walls a roofs, and a suit with gun also to help u battle the many mutated things that live in the middle of the earth.

could a game wreak of awsomeness anymore than blaster master
