I always try, on my works, to hear as many times as possible the score on the scenes, and to objectively tie cues one into each other and remaster where possible the sound. For the cover I use the 'Complete Score' cover NOT used for the recording sessions or, when I find one or can make one, I use that one instead. All this to say that, If you do like the 'Complete Film Version Score', and you would like to make a Cover for it, please feel free to, and for the best cover I have a pretty little prize for anyone who is a fan of Batman, the Burton Trilogy (not counting 'Batman & Robin') and know the story behind 'Batman Forever' and would love a nice, neat and honorable version of the movie.


The 'Batman Forever' Version of the movie is based on the very original script, and therefore reinserts all deleted scenes and re-colours to match the previous two movies. Moreover, since it was already a great movie, all the one-liners which plainly ruined it and just made it 'over' are gone. For More Info, please Message Me.

And a tip for doing proper film edits: try not listening to the score in the film and then just throwing the cues together, but actually use the waveform from the film's audio and line up all cues, one right after the other. Otherwise you'll never get it exact. That's how I did it with my custom film edit of TDK, Angels & Demons & Man of Steel

DAK, you have me curious. What does that mean, use the waveform from the film's audio? Is that a certain function in one of the audio software programs? I'm genuinely curious what your method is. (Apologies if you've already explained it ad nauseum in another thread.) :)

Rip the Blu-ray (or DVD) in a format that most/any audio editing platforms can recognize. Import it into said platform and it will be in a waveform view. Then, using the cues from the complete score you line them up with the waveform from the film. This way it is exact. If you don't use the film's waveform and just cross fade cues by simply listening to the film over and over, it'll most likely never be 100% accurate. I can't think of any other way to get a more exact film mix. Have you checked out my Angels & Demons edit? It's exactly as heard in the film. Because I used the film's audio waveform as my guide. It's tedious and time consuming, but it beats half-assing it. Not calling this edit half-assed, I'm just stating that I think that's how it should be done.

I use Audition. I lay the audio waveform from the film down on track 1, and then all the cues on track 2. Usually. If cues sound better crossfaded, then I'll overlap them both on the same track. If one kinda just plays right into the other and doesn't sound right as a crossfade, then I'll lay one cue down on track 2 and the other down on track 3. This way they over lap and there's no fading. You hear both.

Yes it's tedious and consuming, but it's the most accurate way of achieving a 100% film mix.
