I've been lurking here for quite some time now and I've listened to lots of game/movie OSTs but I never heard anything that can be described as being close to the music from the Metroid Prime series. The works of Kenji Yamamoto are some of the finest in musical history. Unfortunately I could never find anything like this. There are many covers like Harmony of a Hunter and Metroid Cinematica but I'm looking to find music for another game or movie that is similar to the music from the Metroid Prime series. I'm sure some of you guys have an idea. Anything is welcome!

Finally, a post I can relate to. I grew up with the GameCube. So naturally, Metroid Prime was part of my blood. I have mad respect for that series. One of the most beautifully designed games over the decade to be honest. Both in gameplay, visuals, and of course, music. Being a person who thrives on music prone to inducing nostalgia and memories, Metroid Prime is a heavy hitter for me. I cannot express nor convey my emotional attachment to the music from Metroid Prime, nor the game itself.

You ask why you cannot find any music like it. That is because there is none.

Nostalgia hits me hard as well when I listen to this music. I kinda grw up with it on the Gamecube and it still has replay value for me though I've been playing it numerous times.

I hope there is music like it. I really do so.

There's nothing to compare with Metroid Prime OSTs out there. Deeply immersive soundscapes blend with the elegant otherworldly scenarios in a unique way. My favorite is Metroid Prime 2. I call it a "beautiful nightmare".

I like how you appreciate and describe the music. I knew these Soundtracks were special and I feel like they're unique as well. Guess I have to live with how it is.
