Haha, it wasn't that bad. I had basically prepared for this for over a year in advance, by having all the regular Atelier soundtracks downloaded, tracks romanized, artists, composers etc. tagged correctly. I just had to copy everything down to a text document for the ripping and tagging process to go quicker. After that it was just a matter of going through the bonus discs when the box arrived. I used two computers at once for the ripping, which is why I managed to rip, tag, scan, edit everything in just 4 days.
However, if I had never downloaded a single Atelier album before, I would've had to romanize nearly 1400 tracks at once, which would've been extremely exhausting.

And now I will go through the great effort of undoing all of those romanizations. ;)

That only takes a few seconds though. Run a masstagger operation in Foobar, copying the ORIGINAL-LANGUAGE-TITLE tag -> TITLE tag, and doing the same for ALBUM and ARTIST if you feel like it. Then simply run another masstagger operation where you rename all files according to their TITLE tag.

~3 days, ripping 12 hours a day the first two days, then only 4 discs left day 3.

Dude. Atelier folder still looks like this even after the preparatory purge...

Still sitting on 17.5GB of music... +22GB box set... that's a shit ton of music. GUST needs to calm down.

I won't complain about good music. I will complain about my inability to stop wanting more of it...
Those are two different rips I was comparing, btw. I just ended up combining both the scans because I couldn't decide which one looked better. >>

I can relate. I've got 905 GB of FLACs on my computer currently, and only 180 GB of those are my own rips, the rest is mostly VGM. Then I have also burned 90 DVDs of FLACs for backup. :<

Nothing special really. I think the ones I have now are made by Verbatim. I've used all kinds of brands. I'm also backing up all FLACs, and other files, on portable HDDs, just in case. I had a big HDD failure about 11 years ago, and I didn't have proper backups back then, so I don't want that happening again.

That is entirely possible. My download code let me download the booklet and the wallpaper on the same page. I didn't even know they made a mistake at first since they had corrected the PDF when I downloaded it.

Me neither, but it appears that there is only one unique song on that album anyway.
You can still buy it from the GUST shop. https://shop.salburg.com/pc/product/8056/

Yes you are insane... in the most positive and awesome way ^_^

Finished downloading the files too now but still have to sort things out.

Am I the only one who has problems with the video file "Atelier Meruru.mp4"? My video player recognizes it as 40 hours long. All other files are fine for me.

Anyway how could they omit the (subjectively) best opening song of them all from the video list: Schwarzwei from Atelier Iris 3. This song is still in the top of my top lists even to date. I freakin' love that song.

I'm pretty sure I read that those songs are arranged which makes it a lot more desirable than the copy pasta found in other osts.

I don't know gust, never heard of it, but I just want to shwo my appreciation to your hard work bonesatyr. I am OCD when it comes to metadata organization and from the few soudntracks (Bayonetta, and others) I dowbnloaded from you. I must say you do a great job!

Generally in my case I do the following: Filename in Jap --> %tracknumber% - %title in jap% ; tracknames --> romanized or english; Artist --> everyone plus composers

Anyway Wonderful piece of work!

I am very OCD when it comes to how I arrange my music collection, which is why it usually takes me so long to rip and scan everything. >_<
I would probably use Japanese file names as well, if it wasn't for a bunch of programs I use that doesn't support Unicode names. Romanizing takes quite a bit of time, but at least the files work everywhere when I'm done.
Hope you like the music!
