Why was there any point to yuffie at all? no one actually liked her and she had no proper place in the story! What do u guys think?

She did have a part in the story, it introduces Wutai into the story and the war they had with Shinra.
Also, her side quest with Godo.

Well, I suppose not, but it doesn't hurt to have an extra character does it.

No, she is not that important. You can play through the whole story without having her. The main story will still stay the same....

She's just an extra bonus in the game.... ;)

Its for getting all of the secrets/bonuses in the game if you want and she is one also

Yeah getting Yuffies just a bit of fun in the game...although if you want to get Master Summons without Fighting Weapon then you need to have her

I loved Yuffie... she might not had added much to the story line, but I always loved using her in battle most.

But if you're gonna go that way, than technically Vincent was useless as well, since you can complete the whole game without him either.

In a way Vincent is worse, If you don't get Yuffie you can't get Leviathan, however you can get Odin without Vincent....

Still Vincent is a cool character (IMO)

She was, but she has higher luck for manip. and morph, believe it or not, or at least for me...

What you people talkin about?! Yuffie was great! she added Humor to the game, it made it fun. it was great anyways but Yuffie gave it that extra kick.

My Vincent is always crap, because I don't like his limits and don't like using him that much. My Yuffie is always better, I like using her. And the most of her limits are ok, too. ;)

YUFFIE AND VINCENT RULE!!! They r only bonus characters! So this means that they r there if you WANT them . Also if they changed the story u'd need em' and they'd not be a bonus LOL

Personally as a character, I always prefered Vincent to Yuffie, especially when you get his Final Limit break!!!

That's so true. Besides, I like Yuffie, she's a good character to use if you level her up and equip her with the right materia. ^_^

I like Yuffie, she's one of my favorite characters. You can't say "she's crap in battle," because that's only if you don't use her. She could be your strongest character if you wanted. And, if you don't like her, there is a simple solution... don't get her. ;)

She added humor and entertainment to the game, for me, anway. I liked her character.

Yuffie had over 3000 HP the last I remembered.

Yuffie is 20 times better than Vincent. It's Vincent who's sucky in battle --- his ultimate weapon is cheese and his transformation limit breaks aren't very useful at all.

On the other hand, Yuffie's Conformer is way useful and easily the best weapon in the game for morphing. Her Doom of the Living limit is fairly useful and fun to watch. Her Clear Tranquil is useful too (a better version of Aeris's Healing Wind) and Bloodfest is neat too until you can get Doom of the Living. And her sidequest and just all of her comments in general are awesome. She's also really cute.

And she does too tie in with the party --- she hates both Sephiroth and the Shinra.

i guess i thought of it that way. I always thought vincent sucked. I don't know why anybody liked him. Way overrated. But i never really played as Yuffie either though

personally i like yuffie to....shes a great bonus character....shes interesting and her side qest is fun

I hated Yuffie as a character til I saw her in Kingdom Hearts.

Wutai was important to the story, however is excluded from the PC version.

Wutai wasn't excluded from the PC version Carl. o.O

I have the PC version and traveled through Wutai every time I played through the game.

I have both the PC and Playstation version and I have Wutai on both. I have the U.S. version for both.


P.S.: I encourage anyone who wants to explore some more stuff with Yuffie to try either of the following:

1. Do her date sequence with Cloud at the Gold Saucer. I have a savefile for the PC version (U.S.) for anyone that would want to do that.

2. Try doing her subquest on Disc 2 with either Cid or Tifa leading the party.

Vincent keeps doing random amounts of damamge when I use him. 3000 here. 9999 there. 30 here. But Yuffie keeps pumping out 9999 for me. I think her connection to Wutai is pretty important to the foundation of the story. How else would they have fit Wutai in?

See? If you had Yuffie they had to chase here there to get the materia back.

Wutai is pretty pointless if you didn't recruit Yuffie from the forest areas near Junon.

She's worth getting for some bonus materia in Wutai and a chance to get Don Corneo back.

It was my belief too, that Yuffie sucked, up until I played it this time round. This time she was my second strongest character and it was her that finished off Sephiroth, she kicked serious Sephy butt, and the part in her hometown is pretty cool too when you climb the pagoda. So basically my view on Yuffie has completely changed.

Yuffie's the cutest character in the game and my strongest(other than Cloud of course).

Yuffie is my favorite character out of all of the ff caharacter there is. She is hella cool. She's also funny, smart, fast, strong, and ect... She's just a cool shinobi =)

Yeah i was mad at first when she stole my materia but then again it test the strength of the rest of the characters. It's like what if they never had materias.
