My First CD was Mortal Kombat: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and i"m listening to it right now. It has fared quite well over the years compared to some of my other discs, in fact I still consider it my favorite. Combining a little bit of techno beats, orchestration, and metal it's a superb mix. I actually prefer soundtracks for their variety.

What was the first CD you purchased. Do you still have it? still listen to it? Is it still as good as the day you bought it?

I think I've still got it buried somewhere in my cupboard under all my ancient audio cassettes (remember those?), as there was only one song on that album I really liked (Heavy Fuel).

I don't remember my first CD as I started out buying all my music on cassette.

The first album I ever bought was Catatonia's 'International Velvet' which I have since upgraded to a CD copy and do listen to from time to time.

I don't remember my first cassette, but I do remember my first cd- mainly because I didn't own a cd player yet when I bought it, so I had to wait a good 3 weeks before I could listen to it.

It was Greenday: Dookie. Don't have it anymore, got lost in a move.

And you'd only listen to it to make fun of it?

Clearly, you have no taste.

i beat ALL of you, because my first cd was hanson's "middle of nowhere".

I don't remember my first CD.I know I got it in the late 90s, and it may have actually been my King of Fighters: 10th Anniversary Best of CD. The series had only been around for 5 years so I'm not sure of what they meant by 10th anniversary =\

Probably not the first, but it's the earliest that I remember.

I didn't buy any CD's for a long time, most of my friend had a bunch of CD's and they all listened to the same stuff I did. The first CD I can actually remember getting is Green Jello - Cereal Killer. I got the album because the band had to change thier name not too long after they released Cereal Killer, the Jello company was threatening to sue and whatnot, so they changed thier name to Green Jelly. I got it because I really like the band and the album was released in limited amounts under the Green Jello name, so I knew I had to grab it while it could (it was at a used record store).

Funny thing is, even though i's kind of collectable, I still listen to the CD and all that. I mean I like the band and all but I wasn't gonna treat it like a holy relic or something. :B
