Hi, like the title says, I'd like to request the OST to Bravely Second: End Layer, released a few days ago in Japan. It is a 3DS game.

Just in case anyone wanted to hear it this is the final boss theme. BE WARNED: It has talking and sfx which might be a spoiler if you can understand Japanese! It's just a recording of the sound from a stream of the game, so no video of the boss either. There is a better quality video out there (of the same stream), but the video title has spoilers in it so Ill just let you search for it in case you don't want spoilers. This is BY FAR the best song ryo has done for this game. It might even be better than Revo's final boss theme for the first game. Just my opinion though obviously, but holy crap this BLEW ME AWAY! Oh yeah that one is awesome too. The new boss theme is great as well, and I LOVE one of the later story spoiler boss themes too. I was a fool to doubt ryo on this. While im not enjoying as much of the fill in music as I did BDFF (thankfully Revo's music still plays a huge part in this game too) its MASSIVELY exceeded my expectations.

Did it get an official soundtrack release yet?

Not until May 20th. (I think that's the date, I know its CLOSE to that). I'd like to see a rip sooner than that but it's coming out so soon that I don't think anyone will do it. I'm searching for a rom now though and MIGHT be able to do it myself. (I made my own for LoZ A link Between Worlds, but Square Enix has strange ways of compressing data so it's always a crapshoot on whether or not I can get to them. I'm no programmer so fighting through hex code to decompress is out of my league. But if I can GET to audio files I can get them playing!)

I'll admit this song isn't all bad that but the score for this game is horrendous, it makes me want to rip my ears off. Hoping for some good songs (not Revo level but just good) to be tucked away in this game somewhere but I'm losing hope...

I don't think I enjoy ANY of the non battle themes of ryo's here, besides maybe Magnolia's theme (from the first trailer). It's all just so bland. But I like EVERY battle theme I've heard in the full game (The demo music was all crap. The boss theme grew on me a little and that probably why I enjoy the revised version of it.) The entire final boss stretch though has GREAT music. It's so good that I questioned if it was even ryo that did it. 1:59 in that video you quoted, my GOD that is beautiful, and COMPLETELY unexpected compared to the rest of the music. And Edea's theme in the special move medley is fantastic! That's just my opinion though. I've tried to look at this as something separate from BDFF, as Revo has been one of my favorite artists since his Chronicle and Lost days. Impossible to follow up! I can see your side though too, most of it has been just.....bad.

Also, to follow up on my ripping status, the program i use to decrypt 3DS roms wont work for roms larger than 2GB, and this is just BARELY over that :( . So if someone could get me a decrypted .ctr or the cwav files from it I can convert to a playable form.

Someone apparently ripped the OST and is posting some songs. No sign of a link yet, though.

Im ripping the youtube videos of that now. Ill upload everything once I think he's done ripping. Can't Promise it will be complete, since thats up to him haha. Also, it's a youtube rip, so there is that too. Take it for what it is, I'm still happy to share if there is any demand for it!

EDIT: This is what I have for now. All the songs that link led to, at least as of this post, plus the rest of the demo rip from before. Tracks from the demo dont have fadeouts, since they were ripped directly from the rom and not recorded. OST comes out in less than a month so im not going to worry about that. This should be everything that is out in the interwebs that is "full" (no special move themes, since the only versions out there are incomplete, or were pieced together in a way that left out a few seconds here and there) Also has the demo rip of the Ba'al boss theme from Revo, since it is SLIGHTLY different than what came on the Drama CD. 18 tracks total, for now!

EDIT AGAIN: There are 19 tracks, because I suck and used track 13 twice. Ugh....I THOUGHT I used the auto track number thing in MP#Tag , but I must have forgot to "save" it before converting tags to filename. Oh well, its the thought that counts right??

ONE MORE TIME: Here is the phase 2 of the battle with the VERY final boss. Tags come with no spoilers on any of this, and this one is tagged at track 20, to match with my fix for making 2 track 13s. Im not going to reupload the zip just to move a few numbers around, unless I get a MUCH more complete rip finished.
