The Grail Hunter (PC-9801, SC-55 version) (https://mega.co.nz/#!WEBBlAJK!dfNV9sa0UpPLCxEm-nYdlFb_ldh-4jDI30DxIxlBHFI)

This was recorded with a real SC-55. I could also make a lossless version available, provided that someone else is willing to host it.

I love the soundtrack to Taiketsu!! Brass Numbers. But there is one thing I have been wondering- Who is Junta, the composer to that game?

unknown

Some speculate that it's the same composer of Super Valis IV.

It is. Junta did compose Super Valis IV using the same sound driver and instruments as Doomsday Warrior/Brass Numbers.

The Valis III OST has a repeated track for whatever reason.

That was downloaded from KH. Perhaps that's the problem?

I used to have Telenet Game Music Collection Vol 1 and the Reno CD but I sold them back quite a while ago. The former because the tracks only looped once, the latter because the arrange versions were on really primitive synths and not all that good to listen to. Those XZR II and Death Bringer CDs must be REALLY rare, I've been living in Japan for 10 years and collecting game soundtracks, and I've never seen them or even heard of them. I do have some recordings of other Telenet games that might be of use here, Psycho Dream, Avenger, Kiaidan (developed by Alfa System but hey). I'll try to upload something soon.

Great thread. I'm a huge fan of Wolfteam's output so looking forward to seeing more of that too.

But there is one thing I have been wondering- Who is Junta, the composer to that game?
His(?) full name is unknown, but he also worked on Cosmic Fantasy 2. There is the possibility it's Jun Hasebe, that one worked on Valis 3 MD and Cosmic Fantasy 4.

Faery Dust Story (http://www.mediafire.com/download/tmoilogwbfbol84/Faery_Dust_Story.zip)

I had shared this a year or two ago and I don't think it got a single download. The tracks aren't labeled. Pretty obscure Laser Soft game that's sort of a promotional thing for Nishimura Tomomi (the pop singer who did the vocal track for the first Cosmic Fantasy). It's not as good as Valis of course but you can hear the similarity to the sound of Cosmic Fantasy 2. Worth a listen for Telenet fans.

same sound driver ≠ same composer by default, although it's likely.

Junta is credited in both games so there is no doubt.

SWEET. I'll get the vocal song data I have and label them! I just need to get my new Lenovo from Best Buy and get it up and running.

I have posted quite a few Wolfteam/Telenet soundtracks over at my thread (Thread 188804). I also take requests, so if you think there is something missing here, I could try to rip it.

So Junta could be Jun Hasebe? I like his music to DOOMSDAY WARRIOR. I wish Telenet succeeded with that game. But unfortunately thanks to the Japanese and American gamers who only love the famous garbage, they have failed, not to mention that Telenet pretty much ruined themselves when they created Valis X.
