Just checked the montage...There is SFX on the front channels and it doesn't sound good with SFX...
Sorry only converted them to FLAC to keep them as original as the source.

I will add the rest after I watched the remaining episodes. I wanted to avoid spoilers :D

Extracted the AC3 5.1 stream and exported it to WAV in 5.1.
So it's better to play it a surround setup although someone can convert them to stereo

Right now I'm working on getting most of the music from episode 1 (thanks for the file shaqfu36!). If I get good results I'll start a new thread, and will update it regularly with more episodes should he be kind enough to further provide me with the AC3 files. :)

You know, this isn't a 24-bit source. It's from a 640kbps AC3 file.

There's no point in having the files be 24-bit since it adds nothing but bloated filesize.

When the Blu-ray for this comes out, then there'll be a reason for it to be 24-bit.

Thanks for sharing. I actually just got done cutting the end credits for the opening and titles and episodes 1-5, but in mp3. Some of the transitions were a little tricky. We'll probably be waiting 4 months or so for a soundtrack, so I guess the credits will have to do for now to tide us over.

But then I took a closer look and saw that every time someone speaks, there's some subtle distortion/humming of some sort in the surrounding channels. So subtle that I didn't even notice it while editing the first track... but especially noticeable during quieter moments in the score.

Well Brother whatever you can compile is well appreciated by me, the tracks that I enjoyed i particular was the end credits for episode 7 as well as the fight with stick when he tells (young)matt to show him he isn't wasting his time. I would love even an hour's worth of compilations for this until the official release. :) I really appreciate your efforts and contribution. :)

There are lot of different verions out there. Which one is closest to original rip is hard to say.
You would need deeper access than usenet.

It's usually around 4 months.

That's not too far away... maybe we'll even get an official release by then.

Yeah, the source AC3 files were 16-bit to begin with. Don't know why the OP upconverted to 24-bit.

What stuck out to me:


I think with the modern technology and the way composers write these days it’s really easy to get something and chop it up in to a bunch of little segments. It’s just kind of the nature of the way we write. When you write in the computer like a lot of people do these days. It forces you to break the show up in to a bunch of little segments, but by the time you’re done with a movie you might have 40 different sessions. That’s the score, and it’s broken up.

Back in the day a guy like John Williams would get the movie and he wouldn’t write like that because he wasn’t using a computer. It would force him to look at the whole entire breadth of the movie as one giant living organism… and you would get this kind of flow with the score where it was much more cohesive and much more thought out. He would write for the movie versus writing for scenes. When you have a show like Daredevil, that kind of allowed me to do the same thing – it allowed me to view the story as a full arc versus just trying to compartmentalise and just write for scenes.

According to him there's roughly 30 minutes of music per episode.

Agreed. Such a good series... couple of good bits of score throughout the series too, just wish I could pay for the damn thing myself.

Shit, I must've skipped right over that. All I saw was "Daredevil" & "AAC 256 kbps" so I just assumed it was for the show. My bad.

And I would purchase it myself but I'm tapped out at the moment. I just got a new pair of shoes (when did shoes become $160 a pair?!) and saw Age of Ultron in IMAX with my family, so I'm at least two weeks away from being able to buy it.
