SMB/Duck Hunt followed shortly by Battletoads for the NES in '92-'93. Needless to say early training in the Turbo Tunnel made things easier for me whenever I revisit it.

Pokemon Red Version on the original Fat gameboy. I was 10 or 11 I believe, the Gameboy had been out for some time at that point. My family and I were yard-sale browsing and found a 2 year old gameboy for like 15 bucks. My grandfather bought it for me, and the tetris game for it wouldn't play. A week later we went to a walmart a town over and bought pokemon red. My gaming experience started there, no looking back.

I'm not sure, but I think it was either Lego Star Wars: The Video Game for the PC, or Super Mario Bros., both of which I played when I was 7 or 8 in 2007 or 2008. :p

Arcade game: Asteroids.

Console game: Resident Evil. Horrible dialogue and all, game still scared the crap out of me on several occasions.

Kirby Super Star on the SNES. I would prefer it to Super Star Ultra if it hadn't so much more content.
