That's weird. I tried opening with 7-zip v9.20, ALzip and the WinXP tool, all with the message "cannot open file as archive". I downloaded them twice to make sure. I'll switch to Win7 and re-try. Is anyone else having a problem (try 'Tools of the Trade' which is small), or is it just me? :/

Exactly.
I guess some people prefer AAC over MP3 for their ipods because it's "technically superior"? Either way, I can't complain for the share, even though I'm transcoding everythign to MP3 for my library's cohesion when I can't find a lossless source.

Noticing there's some issues with opening files. I'm compressing just using the compression feature of Mac OSX but The Unarchiver to open them. I attempted to open on Windows and am getting the same results as all of you. I'll take the day today to move the audio files over and compress with windows so that it should work. I'll post the new links once they've been created.

It kind of is. It's more advanced than Mp3 encoding.
At lower bitrates, it's better than LAME MP3.

AAC: VBR@192 is better than MP3(LAME): VBR@192.
VBR-320 for both would be virtually indiscernible.

AAC is great if you want to compress to lossy (low bitrates) and retain as much quality as possible.

Haven't experienced any backlash thusfar. I just think that some of these are incredibly difficult to get! Also, I didn't include the Call of Duty Advanced Warfare soundtrack, because it's a collaboration with Harry Gregson-Williams who has done other Call of Duty games and did more tracks than audiomachine so I have it filed under his name in my library. Additionally, it's comparatively easier to get than some of the others. But, I've added it to the list of FLAC files since you've requested it and and I'll get around to adding it to the main post of M4A files in the coming days once I tag it and everything.

Not all production/trailer music companies do it but most offer several alternate versions of each cue for the customer's own use.

I couldn't tell you on that front, but I got all of these straight from audiomachine and have been collecting for the past 5-6 or so years.

I don't know exactly what BlackGate means when he says he got 'em "straight from audiomachine", but the albums bbwonder has are probably leaked from someone within audiomachine... if BlackGate was given them as a gift or something, the person giving them to him probably omitted the alternate tracks since he doesn't need them for editing purposes or anything.

I can help with that. I'm in the film industry myself as a maker of independent film so I applied for access to their library and was granted it. Similarly, I also have all the music of Twelve Titans, Hi-Finesse, and X-Ray Dog and I'm still pushing for access to Pusher Music.

If you choose to use a song of theirs, but say you want them to leave out a specific instrument or part of the song, you simply contact them and ask them for the file without those bits as you license the song from them. So, bbwonders albums that he got may have extra tracks without specific things like that that have been requested by various people and were for some reason included in leaks of their stuff, but what I've uploaded here is their catalog essentially.

That's really cool. Some of those libraries are really hard to get material from (Twelve Titans and Hi-Finesse in particular).

So yeah, I'm guessing that you get the standard albums w/o any alternates, and any leaks coming from within audiomachine have the alternates included, since well, the sky's the limit when you're leaking something you have easy access to.

Yeah. I just have the catalog for sitting around and listening to. In my opinion, some of the alternates aren't really necessary to include with the albums except for the No Choir and No Drums versions since Drums and Choirs are the most invasive parts when present. So, beyond the removal of those two aspects, I haven't really asked for anything in particular to be removed.

Also, as an update to everyone: The M4A zips have been repaired and reuploaded so anyone who was still waiting on M4A should be able to get them now. Additionally, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare has been tagged, zipped, and added, so both M4A and FLAC should be complete. As usual, just let me know if there are any issues.

I checked many tracks with my MP3 collection of Audiomachine and they are almost identical within the spectral frequency display on Adobe Audition. For example, on the album Big Big Bigger, I have 256kbps files and when I picked a few files randomly, I saw the FLACs are cut off at the same frequency as my MP3s. This is quite unfortunate as I was truly wishing for true lossless which this is not.

But please, thanks for sharing all this. I will be certainly looking for tracks I do not have within my collection to add (Alternates, etc...).

Don't know how reliable is Audiocheker (1.9.1) but checking, for example, "Platinum Series I, Orchestral Themes" flac version the results are... Lossless: 50 files and Cutoff: 42 files (but no other info)... But with "Platinum Series II, Gladiators & Monsters" album all files are reported Cutoff ! So, stick to flac files or smaller ones ? :-) ?

You've been posting a lot of links that are not yours.
It's an old habit on this forum for people who want to "help".

But on all other forums, posters ask people to never post their links anywhere else.
Old arguments that still hold up is that posting other links can lead to a flood of traffic for the uploader and raise suspicion.
Especially if all traffic can (and will be) logged back to heatty sites like here that's always causing controversey.
A DMCA will be issued where the poster has taken precautions to prevent such a thing.

Unless you got permission from the original uploader/poster, where they know you're going to post on other sites.
Or it's really your account on the other sites.

Even if you just want to help where other's haven't, it's not a good idea to start using other peoples links.
