Extracted 6ch DTS-HD MA stream from remuxed Blu-ray in lossless WAV. Downmixed using eac3to 3.28. No DPL. No editing done except cropping the required audio out of the WAV track.

Two covers. The black one is the one I made when Tyler re-created the End Credits. The purplish one is based off of a rejected cover for No Time For Caution. The black one is tagged with the files.

Unacceptable

I just posted it in Sparky's thread and wondered if it could use it's own. Pasted the title and posted it.
Realized I can't change my own thread's title.
Anyway, I did put in a request for it. As Sanico seems to be on a sabbatical of sorts, some other mod might need to do it.

'Tis the weekend, too. So probably within 24-48 hours before someone strolls along to fix.
(Pacific Standard Time, at least. Future people are already Garfielding it up.)

Nope. Mine will be a little different. All 3 of them are identical. Same source, quality, you name it. However, mine will be derived from the original. But it'll still be different.

Anyway, getting back to Interstellar - thanks for posting the End Credits, Helix. Just finished syncing to the phone ;)

I can rip the entire DTS-HD MA track for someone to work with but that's prolly the best I can do. Isolating channels and restoring frequencies and stuff goes over my teensy cranium.

A few cues are already being worked on.

The surround sound mix is entirely mixed for theater experience.
The sfx and score are very discreet, all sharing the same channels with morphing dynamics.

If the whole movie is to be edited, you'll have to take it with a lot of sfx. I mean a lot.
It'll be quite difficult to edit out the sfx without destroying the same frequencies that the music shares with the sfx.

It is, I noticed it when I was looking at the wave-forms for the channels. The FX, voices and even the music itself is spread across all channels. Extracting a usable score out of this is going to be hard. It is easier to sample stuff and then mix them to recreate the original track but that is hard work in itself.

I'm considering of doing a rip of the whole film without the center channel.
Let it be sfx-riddled and whatsnot.

I've done that for Godzilla lol.
I actually just had the whole movie rip with the center channel for Godzilla so I can listen to it on my mobile.
I love all the booming and deep sfx.

Guys, I have this version of end credits (bluray) and old version that someone made before bluray comes out. Like I said it before in another thread, I love both versions as they are incredible and a bit different, the piano part is different.

Bluray version vs Interstellar IMAX End Credits (Re-Created) (48.7 Mb). Both versions have same but in a way different piano cues after 3:00.

So, where is this piano part taken from in Interstellar IMAX End Credits (Re-Created)? Im guessing this file was created by Helix or Tyler :)

I always stay for the end credits. And whoever is with me usually bitches about it, but tough shit lol. Ever since Iron Man I stay. Even if there's no post-credits scene, I like to hear the end credits piece and I actually read the credits. I look at the actors, I see who worked on the score and where it was recorded/mixed, I like to see where it was filmed and I like to see what cities/companies get thanked at the end for their service/support. I'm not some toolbag who sits there on my phone and wastes time

And make fun of their names...
Point at any present company that shares the same name as anyone in the credits and giggle...
Pretend to conduct the music...

I love watching for things like "No dinosaurs were harmed during the making of this film" to make sure it's a friendly film.

I try to stay for the end credits too, mostly because it's fun to see how much work went into the film. It's fun to see the actors and actresses listed, the cameramen, the mixers, etc. Plus it's neat to see more obscure positions listed like catering, or what company created the end credits, or the name of the guy in charge of driving the cast and crew around.

Exactly. Most of the general public has no fucking clue what it takes to make a film and how massive it is. Like....catering, as you said. Assistants, costume designers, extras, gaffers, grippers, everything. I like to see all of that and appreciate what they did to make the film.

Tyler re-created the IMAX end credits off of some recordings (and prolly by actually going to showings). I'm not sure that version, if it is different (I don't remember it beyond the first couple seconds because the person i saw it with was hella late for something so we had to skidaddle), it will prolly never see the light of day (unless by some miracle the IMAX version is released for general consumption, which is not most likely happening). This one is the very much the official rip from the retail release.

I always stay for the end credits.

I try to as well. Gets me a chance to fully appreciate the music without dialogue or FX or even visuals. Hell, sometimes I even stay there in awe of how awesome the end was (Nolan's movies with their montages for example). But most of the time, our operator shuts the projector seconds after credits roll and house lights are up, basically in one or more subtle ways telling us to get the hell out.

Original score by Mike Schleingersvsbsshssomething. I might just recreate that video with score from the actual film. No one wants to hear that shit they chose for that video. Wtf. It's also very nice to see how the vinyls get dinged around and just kinda moved from conveyor belt to conveyor belt without a care in the world. Lovely.

TheSkeletonMan939
04-09-2015, 01:31 AM
Yeah, I'm not sure if that was a smart thing they were doing with the vinyls, just plopping in from belt to belt, twisting and turning and smacking into each other.

At least the guy at the end didn't chuck the box.

Sounded like poopy stock music to me... the editor probably didn't think that anything on the Interstellar soundtrack was riveting enough for the video.

Yeah, I'm not sure if that was a smart thing they were doing with the vinyls, just plopping in from belt to belt, twisting and turning and smacking into each other.

I applied to work as a laborer for Fed-Ex here and on the tour, all boxes labeled "fragile" (like the service-paid stamping, not at-home sticker making labels) got put on a conveyor belt and sent down a row.
They overflowed and pushed other products off the belt as they kept coming in.
Not one single employee cared, even if it made a shattering sound.

A lot of warehouse workers "don't get paid enough to care".
Even if you pay extra for the "fragile" sticker.
