Short Version: The needle on this film falls closer to The Grey and A Walk Among The Tombstones than to Neeson's Taken series. It's a good balance of drama and action set pieces. The drama doesn't break any ground but thanks to a lean and mean screenplay it avoids the Hallmark card type sentiment that Hollywood loves to deploy. Slugs instead of hugs and understanding mixed with some forgiveness.
