Back in 2008, director Saul Dibb caused a sensation with the Academy Award winning historical drama The Duchess, starring Keira Knightley (Anna Karenina, Pride & Prejudice), Ralph Fiennes (Schindler�s List, Grand Budapest Hotel) and Charlotte Rampling (Swimming Pool, Melancholia).

For his new romantic World War II drama Suite Fran�aise, Dibb assembled once again a notably top-class cast, including Academy Award nominee Michelle Williams (Shutter Island, My Week With Marilyn, Blue Valentine), Academy Award nominee Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient, Gosford Park, Mission:Impossible), Margot Robbie (The Wolf Of Wall Street) and Golden Globe winner Ruth Wilson (Saving Mr. Banks, Anna Karenina). Suite Fran�aise is based on the fragmentary novel by French author Ir�ne N�mirovsky, whose work was rediscovered quite recently, more than 60 years after her death in 1942.

Set in 1940 � the first days of German occupation � Suite Fran�aise follows the story of young French villager Lucile Angellier (Michelle Williams), who is not only trapped in a stifled existence with her controlling mother-in-law (Kristin Scott Thomas), but also falls in love with Bruno von Falk (Matthias Schoenaerts), a handsome and refined German soldier. Powerful love draws Lucile and Bruno together and leads them into the tragedy of war.

The score was composed by British multi-instrumentalist Rael Jones, who is known for his work on Les Mis�rables (2012), Quantum of Solace (2008) and Jonathan Glazer�s chef d�oeuvre Under The Skin (2013). In addition, Jones contributed music for the acclaimed BBC series Sherlock (2010). Jones� upcoming projects include British drama Kids In Love, directed by Chris Foggin and starring Will Poulter (Maze Runner) and Cara Delevinge (Anna Karenina).

The Suite Fran�aise score, recorded at the world-renowned Abbey Road Studios in London, expressively captures not only the terrors of war, but also the moving delicacy of the conflicted love story between Lucile and Bruno. Revealing great finesse and even greater talent, Rael Jones� music is characterised by haunting themes, much suspense and distinctive beauty. In addition to Jones� score, the Suite Fran�aise soundtrack includes 5 tracks from the Golden Era of German Dance Bands as well as French romantic tunes.

Yes. Kind of like with My Week With Marilyn, Desplat was going to score the project, but he couldn't so he wrote the main theme.

OMV YES my Desplat's new piece! WTH Rael Jones Why u take over my dear's work?! Dagnabit don't people know They Just Need To Force Desplat To Write For Everything...for my happiness! I mean the man writes scores in 2 weeks sometimes and gets Oscar nominations (The Queen, Imitation Game) lol.

Anyways, thanks dear uploader I've been waiting to hear Bruno's piano melody. Desplat's piano work is always nice.
