No, but please comments are welcome on the sound quality. This project was to rectify the sub standard official release.

The PW is OP's username w/out caps, as usual for spectre releases

03-07-2015, 03:56 AM
I would assume so, unless you need the originals. If they sound good to you, make the call. I'd hate to get chewed out later for it. :p
And sorry I forgot to post password. It's up now. Thanks Girtastic for helping out.

Thanks. What's the best track to compare with the flossy release if I want to pick up the difference?

Thanks. What's the best track to compare with the flossy release if I want to pick up the difference?

I'd like to know this as well

Well the very last track disc 2 was pretty bad, but mostly clicking. I'm not positive that you'll notice a huge difference, I tried to keep the original sound as close as possible. They should only be a little crisper.
The goal was to get these as close to possible to lossless in appearance and sound. Removed distortion and extended the frequency range. Someone looking at these through a spectrograph probably
won't know the difference.

Is this Blu-ray enhanced?

No sign of bluray leaking anywhere.
Plus, if he did use bluray sources, he would have added it to the info.

Thanks for the work. Going to add it to collection.

No sign of bluray leaking anywhere.

mr_merrick and I were discussing this a few weeks back in one of the threads. I have been searching for a torrent like a bloodhound for well over a month. High and low. Multiple times a day, every day. Still shitty DVD rips that look like horrible water-based paintings. The Blu-ray still isn't out for 25 days, but we should see better quality rips soon, as the HD digital copy releases on the 17th

HD digital copy releases on the 17th

I strongly urge everyone not to edit with these ones.

I watched the AAC version to The Hobbit and the music is the frequency range that suffers the most.
Dialogue and sfx were okay, but music playing quietly in the background, you can hear how warped it gets.
Probably was the AC3 converted to AAC.

But still, just more evidence that editing lossy and converting back to lossy ruins people's lives.

The best, viable option (so we don't get another 100 threads) is to wait for the bluray and skip over this WebDL phase.

Impatience will be met with unpleasant pleasantries.

I'm uploading the Artwork as a separate DL in uncompressed png format, and in the main DL as well. So they'll be back up soon.

Everything's updated and posted. If you DL'd the main DL before 3:00 pm E.S.T. today, you may want to DL the Artwork package that contains the PNG files and replace your JPG files. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Don't mean to rain on here, but isn't an upconversion of a MP3 track to lossless useless, since there is no way to "recreate" the information in the original lossless file?

Or what is the point on this "release"?

Spectre8750
03-08-2015, 08:11 PM
Same point that they take an old recording and up convert it and master it to 24-bit 192khz. These weren't just up converted. Try it and see. Dump it if you don't like. or just don't DL it. These are to replace the horrible release they put out.

Spectre no release da crappy. He sit wit fine wines and encode like silks from ancient china! It is believed that he enters the Matrix to feel the music, then removes the bad data like useless batteries! He is......the most incredible encoder we know. File all counter arguments in your nearest digital trash/recycle bin.
