Dumb question here, but who do you think is a better thief; Yuffie, or Locke. I know Yuffie isn't really a thief, but she is the closest one in Final Fantasy 7. I think Yuffie personally, but your choice may differ.

Locke wins hands down, by far one of the best ff characters ever of any kind not just thief. but really he's a treasure hunter, so I don't know if this is fair or not.

He is a treasure hunter, but I consoder him a thief. Out of those two, Locke is the best, hes just a pro at what he does.:)

well, although Locke is by far the best clothes theif i've ever encountered, i think Yuffie is the better theif. I mean she managed to steal all your materia, which can be alot!

Locke all the way! Not only does he have style, he has the attitude too. He's the best character in Final Fantasy ever! Unlike Yuffie, Locke's past is very clear, and very well developed. I know a lot about Locke, but I know very little about Yuffie. I mean, so she lives in Wuttai, what else? Locke actually has a past and I just find him to be way more interesting than Yuffie.

Skill wise, Locke wins too. He has high speed and evade, plus he can equip just about everything. In ff7, anybody can steal so you don't have to use Yuffie, but Locke is the only one who can steal in ff6. Locke happens to be one of the most reliable characters in ff6, not just because of his ability to steal, but also because of his ability to fight. If you power him up, he's deadly. He can't be touched when he has the paladin shield and is invincible with the illumina.

Well, Locke.......why? because unlike Yuffie, Locke it's much looks like thief and usefull than Yuffie.;)

I wouldnt exactly say that Locke leans more to one side (I consider him both a treasure hunter and a thief even though he claims not to be one) but if you need a locksmith, Locke is definitely the better man for the job ( Remember in Narshe where you had to have Locke to unlocke the doors in town?).If you want to call him a thief, then I have to go with Locke as being the better man for the job.
