Thanks for the share... I'll give this a go.

I used to be very critical of McNeely, however these days he is one of the few composers who writes scores like they used to.

He would be great for the new Star Wars Films if Williams couldnt do them....

Settle down now... I wouldn't go that far, yet! :)

Probably a better choice than Giacchino though. I used to think MG was the new John Williams, but then he ran out of music and just started writing uninteresting dreck.

That was exactly my opinion, when he did the Medal of Honor series! I was so excited that someone is following the footsteps of John Williams.... and then, it went all downhill.

You gotta have an old-school composer for Star Wars who can do sweeping melodies with rich orchestrations like Williams can. Therefore I nominate John Debney.

Anyhow, not to hijack this thread, thanks for the new Tinkerbell score, KevinG!

Thank you very much. Beautiful work by Mr. McNeely (in my opinion, he should be scoring Disney's Theatrical animated movies (the scores for the Tinkerbell series are WAAAY better than the scores of movies like Bolt, Wreck-It-Ralph and Frozen)).

McNeely proved with Shadows of the Empire that he could tackle doing music for Star Wars. I think he would do a killer score for the new Star Wars. I would definitely want to see what he would do with a super hero type score as well. These Tinker Bell scores are extremely well done.

I have to say that Joel Mcneely did an amazing job with Star Wars:Shadows of the Empire back then..his old school scoring approach of that game was just amazing and IMO he nailed it like no other.. So yes, I still think he would be the better choice! But who knows, MG might be inspired once more.. After all he has big shoes to fill (like with the Star Trek franchise)
