Bruno Coulais - A filetta

Today, the Corsican polyphony are recognized worldwide, This is thanks to pioneers like A Filetta.
Balagne born in 1978 from a passion for singing and folklore, the band is deeply rooted in the land of their origin,
as the local fern from which it gets its name.
His repertoire illustrating the artistic career of the band: the sacred hymns and secular legacy of tradition and original songs.
These are all witnesses of a dynamic culture that refuses to stay crystallized in the past.

The band knows how to revive and share this difficult but great for those with the key art. Their voices are puzzling and unique.
Their eyes reveal a strong bond and a love for their island and their audience.
The meeting with Bruno Coulais was a turning point, a turning point in the group's life time.
The singers speak freely of this composer as an older brother who like to work with him because his music is bold, generous and inspires respect.
Bruno Coulais: "To me A Filetta is a group that is at the optimal distance between custom and contemporary, the optimal distance between
innovation and tradition, the optimal distance between being true to one's roots and be open the world around them.
