Hellsing the manga book is bloody, but the bloodiest anime...Vampire Hunter D-Bloodlust and Ghost in the Shell the movie are tied as my bloodiest anime. The original Vampire Hunter D was bloody too.

The OVA anime movie, Read or Die, was kind of gorish.

I haven't seen any gory animes, but the most gory part in a manga I've seen is in Battle Royale (I've only read the first book) where one of the collars explodes and the head comes off.

I think Rikku love is right neon genisis is fairly gory.

blood-the last vampire delivers what it says. but ichi the killer(anime version, live action is way sicker) is the most violent anime i've seen.
Lukkukat was also right about battle royale the manga-it gets worse in the next few books especially when 3 guys get there arms broken with a book(sounds weird but its really disgusting.

beserk was the goriest anime iv seen and heard of. some sceans of decapitation and arms getting sliced off ect. ect. and hinja resurecton. lots and lots of blood, and that guy cuts off those two kids heads and shows them to that preist/devil dude.

Satan is resurrected in the body of a girl, and he slowly comes out of her. Blood, intestines, other organs...when it's over, you're asking yourself which half of her is still floating.

So this guy is getting a blowjob in a moving car and a demon flies by and cuts his head off, I think that's probably the worst I've seen in a while.

The most goriest scene I've ever seen was in Vampire hunter D when D went into the castle, when all those guts and bugs and all that were crawling on the walls, that whole movie was gory.

Another I remember that was kind of less gory was in Perfect Blue when the Mima clone stabbed that guy in the crotch, I cringed when I saw that.

Okay, so, Ninja Scroll was pretty nice. Vampire Hunter D - Bloodlust wasn't half so gory as I expected... I gotta say, some scenes in FullMetal Alchemist can top that. I mean, guh, the chimera transformations and other alchemic gimmicks in that show are literally gut-wrenching.

Those scenes are weak compared to X 1999. The movie is gruesome, but the manga is blooder. On every page almost is gore. I recommend that you should watch it or read the manga.

Fist of the North Star was really gorish. Kenshin Trust and Betrayel and Ninja Scroll were also pretty gorish. Hellsing and Berserk were as well. And Ichi the Killer was pretty gruesome.

Oh yeah when his guts fall out of his chest and lands on the street, yeah that's some gory stuff. Another gory scene IMO in that movie is when Tetsuo morphs into that big blob thing close to the end of the movie, I was "whoa shit!". I love that movie.

classic manga, not exactly gory though. i personally like the bit where tetsuo's beating that guy down. little clown punk.

Thats gotta be Ninja Scroll. Theres another one I only caught the end on the Action channel, I think it was called Black Mage 808 or somthing. The end wasn't really bloodly but it was volient as hell.

Kill Bill, probably. The animated scenes in the movie. It was a little gorish. But there's also Rorouni Kenshin. The movie where Kenshin first trains with his master and first meets Tomoe. You know, all of his family died, with all that blood and everything.

Too many 'gorish' animes you talk of are too clean in the way they kill, like Kenshin. The outright gore ones IMO would be Fist of the North Star and Berserk.

I'd have to say Fist of the North Star.Bloody awful in general but very gory.

Disagree. The atrocious character writing and clumsy plot progression made Elfen Lied a chore to watch. That sentence should say:
