I've written this all from scratch, I've included some screenshots from the project in the video.

This is a complete mock-up because "Quantifiable Connection" is damaged, the first step is completely writing out all of the included material. Q.C. is just an extended version of "Cornfield Chase", and I was sure to include all of that material here in long form before I edit it all down to make the film version of "Quantifiable Connection". I did not add any strings, so that the arpeggios can be heard clearly.

Why does this have a 1-star rating? I've voted myself to balance it out.

And this caused you to give the thread a 1-star rating? Wtf!

How does one rate give a star rating to a thread?

How does one rate give a star rating to a thread?

Go to the top of the thread, click "Rate this thread" and then pick anywhere from 1-5 stars.

Well mate, I wish I had this power. I didn't give any rating, and I even said thanks even though I don't like the result. Calm down, will you.

Oh please Jok3r, stop trying to be a know-it-all. Like I said -- it's using samples. It's not an edit of soundtrack material like the other posts are because it's using unreleased material.

(i.e. when Hans Zimmer builds mock-ups and demos for the score to show a director how the music would sound, before they spend the money to record it, this IS what it would sound like, whether you personally like it or not)

As for the notation, if you don't think it sounds correct, you are just being picky. I took the notation straight from the sheet music -- the music is correct, this is a fact. If you don't think it "sounds right", then get the fuck out of here for not remembering it well enough to even recognize it in new variations. The whole point of this is to hear a full, clean representation of the piano arpeggios from Quantifiable Connection, including some that weren't used because the track ended too soon. It's pretty obvious that there was a piano version/Suite of Cornfield Chase but they never released it.

Next time I won't bother posting behind-the-scenes type work like this on Shrine if people are too stupid to understand the post. Hopefully those of you who know what you're talking about and have heard what I did with it can enjoy it without needing anything to be explained.

Tyler - I am amazed at the work you've done to recreate this score.

I still haven't seen the movie yet, though it's wonderful to know that afterwards I can appreciate the work you and others have done to make sure this score can be listened to.

Thanks!

I just think it's too funny that all of the piano-solo parts people were scrambling and crying for from the end of Quantifiable Connection have been provided to us in astonishing detail and nobody bothers to pay any attention to it. I too thought this was a forum for intelligent people with better taste in music but looks like we were wrong.

Plus, thejok3rrules is a well-known moron, don't be discouraged by one troll. Everyone else would love this too if they would just click on it and listen to it.

You guys are fucking stupid aren't you? I gave a listen to your work, I thanked for for it, I said I appreciated the effort. What the hell do you want me to say? I did not criticize, I gave an opinion. You're not happy with it, fine, then stop posting your stuff. I don't give a shit, that's not my problem. If you can't handle a fucking opinion, you have nothing to do here.

then stop posting your stuff

You talk a great deal about opinions and how you don't care.
But then go and give an ultimatum, based soley on your opinion.
Just because someone doesn't like your opinion, doesn't mean they have to stop what they're doing to please only you.

People normally say "then don't listen".

I'm not giving any ultimatum to anyone. He does what he wants, I will just not care. Simple as that.

If you don't care then just stop mentioning it, Jesus. Either enjoy the music or don't. No need to continue posting here. Take the high road

This is masterful inventive work. Thank you for your efforts...of course, like the No Time for Caution versions, once someone rips the DVD or the sessions leak, I'm sure this piece will be shelved...but between now and then, this is great. It's either this or the crappy version...or better yet - why not both in the meantime? Thanks again.
