Seriously, Squeenix should make this a thing. I'd love to see a real-time Blitzball sports game. I mean, it's the second best thing to Blitzball becoming real right? Oh how I used to fantasize about such things when I was younger...

Anyway, if this happened, would you buy it? Why or why not?

No offense, but when I encountered blitzball in FFX, it was a hard for me to play and I know many others who found it the same way. If a game did come out, it would only appeal to the guys who loved and spent hours on it away from the story lol, but in the long run I guess it was creative.

I'm not saying it would play like the Blitzball minigame of FFX. It would borrow a few elements, but instead, it would play more like a sports game. You'd be able to move around freely, attack/shoot would be action-based instead of encounter-turn-based, and you could set up plays before a round.

I mean it would be cool but, it would take a while for development especially these days with the advance of better games and it would be overshadowed. Although it would be nice to play with the Luca Goers in HD XD

This. I found that Blitzball is really hit or miss as in there are people who love it and defend it even over Triple Triad and then there are those who hate it. I actually fall under the latter category, never figured out what the appeal was, consciously lost the one mandatory game and never revisited it.

Blitzball was amazing
would play again in a FFX-3 sequel.

Really fun mini game!

I could see Blitzball being amazing to watch in real-life, I was entranced with the opening for the game. I can't play the game for shit by myself. I still after all these years have never won a game :(
