has anyone figured out how to open the locked treasure chest in the town of kalm? my curiousity has taken the best of me!!!

Well, Final Fantasy VII was a horribly unfinished game.

I was reading one of Smokey's posts and, incidentally, he posted this thingy (http://www.angelfire.com/super/ff7/unfinished.html) about how the game was unfinished. It's intresting, but I don't know if I can believe something so profound coming from a shoddy angelfire page. Regardless, you might have encountered a scrapped item that Square might have taken out for the sake of release dates.

But read that thing, it's pretty intresting.

not to change the subject too much but... i need help!

i cant raise a #%@#$% chocobo! for some reason i cant put a chocobo that ive caught in the stable. the man in the house (not the kid) says that there is no more room. he cant rent out more than six stables. i only bought six stables and caught 2 good and 2 great chocobos. im almost to the end and i need a gold birdie so i dont miss out on the four materias that await. ive even tried moving the chocobos into the stables by talking to the kid, but after i confirm my selection, i dont see any chocobos in the stable...

My friend had that same problem.
He also had a glitch that let him fight two extra weapons (one w/four arms, other was purplish, I think they were extras that weren't supposed to be released).
Probably a bad disc, load error, or file corruption (memory card).

Try borrowing a friend's copy and seeing if it works then, if not get a new mem card.

REALLY?! man that sucks! that means no knights of the round materia! well at least i can do the highwind landing trick to get the quadra materia, but now im not complete.....man.....

You can still get the gold chocobo from the guy in Kalm can't you? After you beat emerald... although that might be a bit difficult without KOR.

does anybody know that if there is a way to get the umbrella and the flayer WITHOUT doing that $@%$@#% very hard shooting game in the gold saucer? it seems like in order to get 5000+ pts you cant miss a thing! either i really suck at shooter games or its almost impossible..
