Adult Swim just started airing it last Saturday... is it any worth watching it? From what I've heard the English version is no good, so should I go ahead and watch the dubbed version or just wait until I can see the traditional version? =\

I've seen the entire series subbed and I can truely say that it's a great anime series. 51 episodes and every single one of them was interesting or a had a good plot twist that kept it going. But I can't comment on the english version until I hopefully watch it this weekend. I'm sure it's edited to hell and back because the show can be rather violent.

And with the voice actors that Funimation hires, it might be painful to listen to as well. =\ If you know how to use bittorrent, I say download the subbed version instead.

The dub sucks. It's not horrible (it sounds horrible at first but you do get used to it)

The series is worth watching though. (subbed if you can)

Full Metal Alchemist just replaced Fruits Basket as my all time favorite anime.
I'm sad that the Japanese run is over, I had been following the new releases every week since the first one aired.
Definately worth watching.
I haven't seen the English dub, but the sub was amazing.
The first DVD comes out in February, complete with a metal case to hold the first half of the show ^_^

Yeah I've seen Fullmetal Alchemist long before, the series aired on American tv, and I loved it and still do. Watching the dubbed version gives the characters a different image, image of being sissy like. I prefer subs a lot more. Also Funimation does need to put more effort in portraying the animes they introduce to the American public.

Full metal alchemist is definitely worth watching and is completely awesome kinda twisted with the background of Edward And Alphonose or something like that.

Ive seen one, and it was really cool. i watched the english version and i love it. the one i saw was like the fourth one tho, so does anyone wanna fil me in on the first couple? =)

Torrented it, and loved it. It completely deviates from the *true original* FullMetal Alchemist from half way through though...the comics themselves! My sister buys the comics every time a new volume comes out so I read them for free! :D

Enix is being a freaking @#%@ though. They killed off the anime at the crucial moment and the ending (of the animation...the comics are still going very strong) I presume would be the movie in Summer 2005, which I cannot wait...to torrent!

Yes i think it is worth watching its a great anime even in the english version,ive been watching it on adult swim here and there and from what ive seen of it its great so i say just give it a chance if you dont like the english version try the normal version and you do get use to the english i did.

Hey, i'm new :) Well, I think it's kind of obvious where I stand on this subject, lol. I think the english version is pretty ok, but the voice for Al kind of bothers be sometimes. I have no idea why. Anyways, it's a great show! "Night of the Chimera's Cry" almost made me cry, seriously. Up until not too long ago my fave anime was InuYasha..but this one is a lot better!
