I've got the original "Outer Space" album that contains Williams' rendition of Goldsmith's Star Trek theme: dreadfully slow!

That album also has Stu Phillips' Battlestar Galactica, which is sadly missing here.

Still dont have it so I am not sure, but it seems the back of the release states (bottom right) that the different tracks were recorded in different years, which means this CD is a collection of recordings from several years.

What I do not know yet is if they were published before or in other CDs or they are indeed "new" recordings for our ears.

Link received. Thanks very much for this very rare album. Seems to be a combination of the Boston Pops albums "Pops in Space" and "Out of this World." Shame they didn't include The Twilight zone and Battlestar Galactica tracks.

Pops in Space and this release are the only ablums I know, where they have Close Encounters of the Third Kind the Special Edition on it That is the scene were we see the inside of the mothership. Love Johns concert version of Star Trek. Thanks again. Extremely rare.
