In ff7 ff8 and ff9, you start off thinking someone is your enemy, then it turns out that it aint them you are after, it is someone else :)

Like in ff7, you start of my thinking that Shinra is your enemy (rufus and all that) but it actually turns out that Seph ( you know who I mean when I say Seph)is your Enemy.

and then in ff8, you start of thinking Edea is your enemy, then it turns out to be Ultemecia, who is your enemy

and then finally in ff9 you think Queen Braine is ya enemy, and it turn out that Kuja is!!

oooohhhh why do they do twists like that? hmmmmmmmm? :eye: :eye: :eye: :eye:

Yeah I know! But they always make the enemy obvious too. But then again Kuja wasn't the real enemy, it was that guy behind him sort of...and then Necron (seriously, what the hell is Necron, did anyone else think that was COMPLETELY random?). I think one time they should make one of your party members turn out to be the enemy. That'd be a nice twist.

I think it's cool that there's so many plot twists in the Final Fantasy series. The idea that there's an ultimate evil entity like Necron behind the whole Final Fantasy IX game, and that it can be defeated hints that Good can overcome Evil in real life.

Necron wasn't completely random, it was an entity that thought that as long as one lifeform sought team, all other lifeforms sought death, and therefore tried to convert us all to the "Zero World" status.

Either that, or Square do it purposefully to annoy us...

they do the plot twists to keep the game from getting boring. not just in 7, 8, and 9, but in every ff I've played although tactics holds the crown for most convoluted story.

It would be quite good if you played as a bady instead of a good guy in the final fantasy games i know thats not a twist in any of the games but it would make a good change.

I think a major problem with FF9 was necron. You didn't even know he/she/it existed until the very end, that really got me angry.
