Quboz is known for re-encoding iTunes m4a to flac. Scam artists. When you do a spectrogram analysis, they are identical to the m4a rips.

Do you have a single fact to back that up?

Yeppers.

I've downloaded Quboz so-called lossless stuff before. One example is Robbie Williams' "Take The Crown" *alleged* 24/48 studio masters. I have a proper CDQ rip of the instrumental version of Candy (one of the tracks on the album). So I went to make a diyacapella out of it.

IT WAS CRAP! Way too much background noise. Bad bad bad. So I had an idea. Bought Candy off iTunes and tried to make a diypella from that. IDENTICAL RESULT. By then my suspicious side had completely taken over. Loaded both the Quboz & iTunes rips, analyzed both spectrograms.........IDENTICAL.

So I went and bought a physical copy of the album, ripped Candy myself to the default settings. Tried to make a diypella with that..........PERFECT RESULT. Like it came straight from the studio. Never bought anything from those scam artists again. Fired off quite a wordy email telling them exactly what I think of them.

And on the Mass Effect topic, as far as I know the Combat/Atmospheric scores were only released on iTunes. I bought them ages ago.
