Hey people,

I hope you are doing well! This is my first own thread on here.
I give you the Midtown Madness soundtrack as correct as I can imagine.
There is another working FLAC upload of this on the forum (http://forums.ffshrine.org/f72/lossless-video-game-soundtrack-thread-v2-126974/34.html#post2308591) but it has errors which I will explain to you.

The original install CD of the game has one data track and 15 audio tracks.
I ripped them using EAC and proper ripping options resulting in a perfect rip with a 100% log.
Listening to the soundtrack in my CD player as a kid many years ago I had already noticed something:
Most of the tracks do not start at 0:00 of their own track but around 3 seconds before. This is what it looks like:

When the track changes there is an annoying cut-off sound, a little skip, which appears in every transition:

These errors have been fixed. There are no more audible errors anywhere and the tracks are in the right layout.
It took a long time ripping the CD, editing the wave files in Ableton Live, listening carefully, comparing to other uploads, tracking down artist info.
Corrected two more skips in track 5 which appear on every CD. Listened again to the entire soundtrack to make sure there are no more mistakes.
Apart from cutting and pasting the tracks have not been altered. This upload contains only the flac/mp3 files.
Please let me know if you find a more complete or more correct tracklist for this. I have looked all over!
In my opinion this is the best version of the soundtrack that exists. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Dat nostalgia.

Let me know what you think – feedback very appreciated.
Have a great day!
:)

Thanks... didn't even know an official soundtrack existed - had always listened to my old gamerip (~ 128 kbps, .wma too) :D

Ha, I am glad I could help there. The soundtrack is not even only good for nostalgia, the music is actually not bad :)
